Never heard of a "TENS" unit before; Wife was having knee pain and we tried this. It helped significantly. Then I started using it for lower back pain. Then we took it on a trip and our Uncle tried it for his knee & loved it so much we gave it to him. Ended up buying three eventually. Instructions on placement of pads is very good but instructions on use of modes is vague. A little experimentation will help you find the best settings. Pads will last a good thirty times if used on clean skin...even longer if you throw a little bandage tape to keep it in place after tackiness wears off. Replacement pads are pretty cheap. Great purchase.

This helped me through a severe exacerbation of a pinch nerve episode. Not into narcs so I opted for physical relief measures which could give relief rather than chemicals.It relaxed my muscles and diverted the referred pain areas and assisted with the circulation in my muscles. It took a bit of time for me to learn which settings were good for my condition, but when I got them, it worked like a well-oil machine. I have not re-ordered the electrodes yet, it has sustained me for almost 1-month daily use. I just moistened the pads w/ a bit of alcohol wipes and those adhered really well.Wheter your pain is at level 10/10 or you just want a sort of relaxation, get and use this, it will be a good purchase.

This is a powerful stimulator. Easy setup, charges quickly (About 2 hours for a usable session). The only awkward thing is that you have to cycle through settings each time you want to select a value for a session. This could be improved with a "save a favorite". Only slightly inconvenient.Comes with several pad sizes. I think some additional suggestions for use would go a long way for user experience. How to place pads, suggested modes for certain outcomes...

My husband loves it! The size of the item was impressive and quality is fabulous! My husband, who is diabetic, can fit this in his case with his sugar machine without a problem. It is easy to use. It has a lot of setting options. The battery life is phenomenal! My husband can use it all day while at work (12 to 14 hours) without recharging it. It is by far one of the best purchases that I have made!
