LiNKFOR IR Extender with 1 Receiver and 4 Emitters IR Repeater Infrared Remote Control Kit Hidden IR System Compatible with Box Satellite TV Receiver DVD Player Blu-ray Player

This simple but very effective remote control extender is quite amazing. I was initially a bit wary because it looks like a really simple piece of kit and it’s so cheap. But it works perfectly!I installed the IR receiver hidden out of sight under my audio sound-bar using the self-adhesive backing. The extender is powered from a spare 5 volt USB output on the uninterruptable power supply (my UPS battery backup) that powers my entire AV system. I fixed the emitters using their self-adhesive backing over the IR-receivers of my satellite receiver, Western Digital media player, Philips Blue-Ray player and Sony Bravia TV. It just needed a few moments of moving the emitters around in front each device to find the location of the IR-receivers. The cables were long enough to reach each device, and where necessary I split the pairs of cables – they are designed to control 4 separate devices, they’re not paired electronically.This remote control kit works so well that I am now able to control my AV equipment from anywhere in my large living room, even from the farthest-most corners. I am really amazed that it works so well.

Arrived very quickly, I am using this to get around my big cat as he sits in the way of the PVR recorder, works perfectly and very easy to install, the infrared lights come out of the holes in the mounting pads and the receiver sensor pickup is through the top, very powerful and it is possible to control more than one unit per IR transmitter if its stuck with the holes facing at least 6 inches/150mm away from the units

Range is not great, approx four feet, required to be above this range. However works fine with my Virgin box. Cheap to purchase.

It is not working. Could send only one command and only if transmitter is very close to receiver target. Could send only one of the commands and that was not always working as well. Waste of time.

I initially tried a cheaper IR extender that failed to function very well, so I searched Amazon for a better model and arrived upon this one. It took me about quarter and hour to thread the wires through my TV stand. It works perfectly, very responsive and has saved me loads of grief. I wanted a TV stand with an opaque glass front, as it looks really nice. My Bluray player works fine through the glass, but my Freeview box will not, so I needed this device. The Freeview box has a USB port to power the device, which is very handy. The first IR extender was in use about a week before I threw it away, this one has been in use 10 months and has been brilliant. I note that I am not alone in giving this purchase the thumbs up, the good reviews are easily justified.

Works very well when it is stuck to the device. But after a month it doesn't stick at all. Seeking warranty claim.

The sensor broke on our TV and so the remote would only work from 1 seat in the room (my chair luckily). We were about to get a new TV as we knew the remote wasn't the problem and fixing the TV seemed to involve soldering the motherboard!Found this item and its so simple but so effective! Plugged the USB in, stuck the small tab over the broken sensor and the receiver under the TV and it works great!Now everyone thinks I'm a tech genius and they don't have to keep asking me to control the TV from my seat!
