This one just works, no messing, no complications, just plug it in and it works
I'd tried a couple of wifi adapters in the back of a Humax Freeview DVR, and the experience was very poor. Then I saw this one and, on a whim, purchased it. It is by far the best adapter I've used. I plugged it in and it worked, immediately recognised the wifi signal, great performance. The only criticism is, as others have mentioned, that the blue flashing light is an annoyance, much much too big, and offers no useful information. Other than that, this device is really well designed and built, and if you need to get a Humax connected to the internet, this is a great option.

Brilliantly simple; simply brilliant!
I have spent far too much of my life fiddling with electronic devices trying to get them to work. It is always a joy to find a device that does exactly what it says on the tin. Such is the case with the Whyfi Humax WiFi dongle.Simply plug it in the USB socket on the back of the Humax receiver, enter your WiFi code and you're in business; a good strong stable WiFi connection is obtained. It is worth stating that this is all the unit does. Some reviewers unfairly marked the product down because it didn't provide a 1000 internet tv channels. All it does is provide a network connection for the Humax box to receive whatever internet channels it is set to receive such as Netflix or I-Player.It is also worth saying that the best place for the dongle is not plugged straight in the back of the receiver. Using a USB extender with the dongle placed on top of your tv unit will probably provide a a stronger signal. Worked fine on a humax smart hdr unit.
Works fine but the bright blue power light can be annoying.

Easy to set up and use.
I purchased this to use with my Humax HDR-1100S. It arrived earlier than expected thanks to the very prompt processing by the supplier.I plugged it into the rear socket on the box and it recognised my WiFi in seconds and all that was needed then was my password and it was ready to go.The whole set up took less than five minutes and the result is excellent. Before purchasing this I toyed with the idea of buying the Humax branded one but the many positive reviews of this one persuaded me and they were right!

Might work might not
I bought this to go with my Humax 1800. The dongle connected to my network fine and it was supposed to work with the Humax 1800. However, I had a message saying something like Humax 1 STB not compatible. i then gave up. A finer human being than I would have rung up the Humax line etc but I didn't have the strength to carry on with it.

... at amazon for instructions - for the product is easy to install
although there are no instructions on the leaflet - look at amazon for instructions - for the product is easy to install. you just need to put the broadband code into the TV for immediate internet connection. Great for catch up with great picture quality. Well worth the money

Did Not work - Not as specified - Returned
I bought this to link my router/Windows 10 PC to my Humax Fox T2 HDR to watch BBC iPlayer/ITV Hub on a non- smart TV in another room. It did not work despite several attempts and that the spec on Amazon page and the literature with the product specifically stated it was compatible with the Humax Fox T2.I’d subsequently managed to link my Humax Fox T2 HDR with another Wi-Fi extender proving it was the dongle which did not work.I also linked using a CSL 20m Cat6 ethernet cable, only to discover an unresolved problem between Humax and the BBC. So do not bother.I was even more disappointed to have the return postage deducted, despite the product not performing as clearly stated.I would give this product and supplier a negative star if I were able.

Humax USB Dongle
Worked straight out of the box but was disappointed with the number of apps installed just one BBC iplayer.
