Hard to find Nowadays
After lots of research and searching, I finally found these pots my mother used when I was a child! They are wonderful!1. They are dishwasher safe and there are no hinges/screws/joins in which water/detergent can collect.2. You can treat them like pyrex (which they are, essentially)3. I found it easier to remove food from glass than from stainless steel.4. They are not non-stick so we do cheat and have teflon pans for pancakes and eggs (omelettes, scrambled eggs)Remember they are glass and therefore:a) They can break if you drop them!b) You would need to use nylon or silicon cooking implements to prevent excoriating the glass. The only problem now is that I want to get another set but can't find any!

Great product
I have cooked all sorts in this glass sauce pan. It takes longer to heat up than metal but once it's up to temperature it holds heat very well and only need be on a medium heat to boil things. Porridge and alike will stick a little bit but not if you stir continuously. Very easy to clean, whether you do it straight away or leave to soak. Sturdy and heavy. Food tastes good again, no metallic taste, highly recommend. I use on a basic electric cooker with ceramic jobs.

Expensive but worth it
This is a beautiful, well crafted glass pan. Cleans easily in the dishwasher and can be used on the hob or in the oven.I wanted to move away from toxic metallic pans that can leach into foods and this is perfect. Very expensive, but hopefully should last a lifetime if I look after it properly.

Wonderful cookware non toxic!
cooks perfectly better than corningware, does not burn as easilyrice cooks extremely well , quiet cooking and even heat distributionvery hardy even though its glass and so versatile- ie oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge! ( microwave too if you must)I wish I had a whole set or started off with Visions from the beginning. Im just building up I think its very pretty colour too as that is not so obvious in the pictures.I wish others bought more of Visions cookware so that they can avoid the toxins from stainless steel ( nickel)and non stick cookware. I wish hence that they were slightly cheaper or you can buy them in sets or mix and match sets for a lower set price. welldone visions you are a life saver!

Sticky skillet not worth it
Tried frying an egg on the skillet as a starter for ten. Went heavy on the oil and very careful on the heat but the egg burned onto the pan and took quite a bit of scrubbing to remove. This is not a replacement for a frying pan in general.[Edit] Since tried a steak. The result was nice but had to be extremely careful on the heat and keep the steak moving CONTINUOUSLY to avoid sticking. Not an enjoyable cooking experience and the skillet required a lot of scrubbing to clean up.

Slightly disappointed!
This pan was an expensive choice for me. Most don’t come with a lid so I forked out the extra cash. I was disappointed when I opened the packaging and read the enclosed leaflet/product information. The pan itself is Made in France and feels good quality. The lid however, is made in China and requires special care. It is not as strong as the pan but ordinary glassware. That was the disappointing part. This wasn’t mentioned in a clear way on the Amazon listing page.

Just exactly what I want!
I bought the 2.5L saucepan for £44.99. I notice that the price has now gone up again, so it's worth keeping an eye on the price if you want to catch yourself a bargain! The item was exactly what I want and as described. I was a bit hesitant about ordering this online because as it's made of glass, there was a good chance that it would come broken on arrival, but it was well packaged. It's actually quite hard to source these - not a lot of retailers seem to sell this. This saucepan can be used to cook up a variety of different dishes and it is especially good for using it to cook soup. The fact that it's see-through means that you can see exactly where the waterline is to prevent your soup from over-boiling and then spilling over and making a mess. The only negative thing about this product is that as it's glass, you must be really careful when you are cleaning it and when you are handling it to prevent it from getting smashed to pieces. And also food can stick to the bottom which makes it tough to clean (it's not a non-stick surface!); so to prevent this, you should frequently stir your dish to prevent the food from sticking to the bottom. With careful handling, this product will last for a very long time.

See the contents as it cooks
I've had a couple of Visions saucepans at home for decades and always use them for soups and stews. But I missed having them at the cottage, so I purchased an an additional pot specifically for the cottage. Not only can you see the contents while it cooks but because it's made of pyroceram, these pots are not subject to breakage from thermal shock - if you wanted to, they can go directly from freezer to stovetop. However, like any glass kitchenware they must be handled with care and should not be used if cracked chipped or scratched. And note that the lids are Pyrex, not pyroceram. They do require a bit of adjustment from cooking with metal cookware. Visions developed a reputation for food sticking, but this is probably due to people using higher heat than is necessary. I would suggest that nothing more than medium heat is required for most cooking, and if cooking something without liquid you'll need to use cooking spray. They do hold heat very well so food will continue to cook after being removed from heat, but this also means that the contents will remain hot for longer compared to most metal cookware. All in all, great pots!

BEST Microwaveable Saucepan!
This Saucepan is INCREDIBLE! My mom wanted another one in this size as she has had a set of these for over 30 years and so she was thrilled when I got her this! This is microwaveable and is such a hearty, wonderful saucepan to use for cooking! Her old set has lasted over 30 years so far....so these seem to be made to hold up! Shipping was quick and it was packaged extremely well!

Great classic stovetop saucepan
I used one of these that was at a mountain cabin we rented this summer and loved the way it cooked rice, veggies and meat dishes. Had to have one.

Very Shock Resistant, Lasts a Lifetime, Cooks Great
I have been using Corning Visionware for about 40 years and I love it. Got this pot to replace one my wife dropped on a hard tile floor. I have had a large full set of Visionware for about 40 years and they are very durable, work well, and I have never had one break from thermal shock. You can take these from the freeser to the stove, or from the stove to cold water with no problems. Whomever invented this material is a genius. It is nontoxic, and you can see your food cooking through the pot — very handy. This 5 liter Dutch oven is big enough for a large pot of food but not so big, cumbersome, and hard to store as larger stock pots. I love this pot!
