Q: How is it that it both can and can’t support DP 1.2 video? Does it or doesn’t it?

Because the TBLT3MM2MA is an active Thunderbolt 3 cable, it can carry video but must be connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port on both ends. This is different from a passive Thunderbolt 3 cable (like our TBLT3MM2M) which can be used with USB-C ports with DP-Alt mode for native DP 1.2. Malcolm StarTech.com Support
