Superb rich smooth taste
First heard about this varietal of tomato on one of James Martin’s shows, and then in another show, watched him use the tinned version to make a tomato and basil soup. Had a go at it myself and without a doubt, the best home made tomato soup I’ve tasted. The tomatoes are sweeter than other tinned tomatoes, they are plumper and full of juice, and have a lot less seeds. At about £1.40 a tin, probably not to be used willy-nilly but for a dish where the tomato flavour is dominant (e.g. as a pizza base, or a top-quality stir-through for pasta), I can’t think of anything that even comes close! 🍅🍅🍅

Very nice tomatoes.
Used these for pizza sauce, blended with olive oil and garlic, used in cooked. The first time I remember think the sauce was lovely, then the second not as nice... But I have just realised I also added sugar the first time, which I didn't the second! Anyway - very nice tomatoes. I used cirio passata mostly before, and this is different - in a good way. I will experiment with them a bit more, they are nice, but not like mind-blowingly different. Will try some other brands after I get through these tins and have something to compare to, then maybe update this review.Edit to review. I think it's a matter of taste. Went back to cirio passata for a couple of pizza nights but added olive oil, salt and garlic to it which I didn't always before, and it was just as nice, but different. I wouldn't say the San Marino are worth the price difference, but switching now and again just mixes things up to stop you getting hired with the same taste over and over!Haven't tried different San Mariano's yet but will soon.

Perfect for any sauce
I always depend on these Tomatoes as they have fantastic flavour compared t typical store bought plum tomatoes. As with most san marzano tomatoes, they provide a great degree of sweetness and robustness to anything they are used in.The packaging is also spot on, in all my orders i have rarely seen a dent of any size and it's easy to keep them all together in a cupboard or something for whenever needed.Would easily recommend

Tasty. Great for pizza sauce.
I have used some other San Marzano tomatoes and these ones are very good compare with other brands. I used it for my pizza sauce and you can really taste the difference. Where the normal supermarket canned tomatoes usually need some sugar to cut down the acidity the Zia Rosa doesn't and still is great. They are more expensive compared with the normal ones but worth the higher price as authentic italian pizzas usually use san Marzano.

Absolutely delicious
Worth every penny in my view. I do a lot of cooking and these tomatoes are great. If you're looking to take your flavour up to the next level for things like pasta sauces and pizza bases, look no further.Considerably better than any canned tomatoes I've found in a regular supermarket.TIP: Add a pinch of sugar, oregano and garlic powder into a can of these for the perfect pizza base tomato sauce.

Excellent product.... however Packaging is poor.
These tomatoes are really good, absolutely nothing wrong with the product, however I am very disappointed that 6 out of 12 tins were badly damaged. I usually buy my Tomatoes from another supplier and each tin comes bubbled wrapped, ok they are £2.39 per tin elsewhere for a different make, still DOP, but they arrive in perfect condition. I spend in excess of £1000 per year on tinned DOP tomatoes, I thought id try Amazon, and they have failed me.

Nice
Waited a few weeks from placing order to receiving them. Ordered for my mom who cannot digest seeds. Ordered due to their low seed count apparently. I should have ordered ordinary tomatoes. I think it's my own fault though cos it doesn't say on the tin or on here about being seedless does it?! I thought though I could pick the few seeds out! They are tasty though.

Super super tomatoes ... will lift any Mediterranean dish
These San Marzano tomatoes are SO MUCH better than anything you’d buy in a store ... you taste the difference in a sauce, soup or pizza. With these I just boil it down a bit with some salt to have a great pizza topping. This is the best ... douche the price of the supermarket stuff, but well worth it
