Q: How many alarm settings does it have

Dear Amazon. What part of my ticking the box not to be asked for reviews anymore was not understood?

Q: Is the backlight too bright for light sleepers? Can it be toned down or even turned off entirely?

It doesn't worry me but I am a fairly heavy sleeper. The light cannot be adjusted but it can be turned off.

Q: Does the white clock have a white lead and plug

No - the lead is black and I am pretty sure the plug is too (I have it tucked away and can't see it). But the thing I love about this projection clock is that the projected display can be rotated in 90º steps - this means that you can have the clock next to the bed and still see the projected display clearly.
