Amazing upgrade great price.

Upgraded from a Strix 2080 which can still play games at a reasonable pace but starting to notice it struggling to keep a consistent frame rate .Comes well boxed no extras in the box though ☹️.Build quality feels great not to heavy weighs the same as the 2080.I had to upgrade the PSU as well as the power draw was to much for the Corsair 650 .All plugged in and drivers installed freesync and refresh rate at 170.Fire up some call of duty . WOW 170 FPS and doesn't drop smooth gaming play no stutters unlike the 2080 .Only Con is you have to set an aggressive fan profile . The heat from this card is noticeable but must of us gamers have a great air flow cases anyway .It's on Amazon day deal 25% it I'm still happy I paid sub £500 for this card .I can recommend this card . Just make sure you set a good fan profile

Great value for performance.

Early 2024,This bad boy runs anything at 2k 180hz capped without dropping a frame unless I'm actively trying.Pros: good rastoration performance to price compared to Nvidia 4070 Super (non Ti).Great AMD Adrenaline software.Cons: reference design runs hot and loud at 120% performance, fully overclocked even with aggressive fan curve. It doesn't always run hot and loud, but when it does, you can hear it.Does not support AV1 encoding, only decoding (useful for video editors). Is worse at upscaling such as DLSS and Ray Tracing (keep in mind Ray Tracing is massively hampering performance and the only card that can push good frames with RT is RTX 4090 which cost 2000£).

Best bang for the buck GPU currently!

I decided jump the ship, and sell my 3070 before I can get some money for it, thanks Nvidia for the 8GB Vram🙄 My options were quite limited when it comes to upgrade path, as I have the NZXT H1 v1, as all the high end cards went massive in the recent years. Considering this card now sells nearly half the initial MSRP, it was a no brainer,as the newly announced 4070 is worst performer than the 6950XT( at least raster performance) and I don't really care about RT. FSR getting better by each update, so the DLSS performance isn't that far off either, this card is just better. I was really surprised by how nice the packaging was, really neat presentation! The card is wrapped in a really nice quality mouse pad, and there's an 'R' keycap too. The card seems to be well built, really heavy compared to my previous EVGA 3070 Xc ultra. At first I was shocked how much coil whine it produces, but according to various posts, will go away slightly by use. Also I'm stretching the limits of my 650W PSU, but I'm planning to undervolt anyway due to the itx formfactor. Under base settings didn't go above 83c with 96c on junction which is a tad high but completely safe still. All in all very happy with my purchase so far, will update if there's any issues.Regarding the Last of us I code... Amazon won't give you one, tbf they don't even advertise the card will come with it, AMD is to blame as they advertise Amazon UK as participating retailer on their website.

Great Prime day grab

while it does have a bit of coil whine and runs a tad hot, the performance per price is really good.no problems at all. great upgrade for only £400

Mine was running to hot

Was well happy I got good deal on RX6950XT, When it got delivered it was in a box 2 times the size of original packaging without any padding, But box had little damage to it, so I let that go. So I installed the gpu but didn't come with pcie cables, So order some for next day and gpu powered up all normal and install drivers. Left my pc for over two weeks as I had friend that live abroad over. So when I jump back on pc to test out games, I had do driver update to play Warzone 2, So done the update and desktop screen went into 480p, so restart the pc and didn't want work at all. So had reinstall Windows 11 and everything else again 🙄, Everything went back to normal without any problems. So started playing multiple games and gpu was running hot, around 93-98c on outside temperature of gpu, try putting more aggressive fan profile on gpu (was originally stock sets beforehand), put my 3 120mm front fans on full, try no side cover and nothing worked over the 4 hours of testing I did. Looked online and temperatures shouldn't be what I was seeing on outside of gpu, The hot-spot on these cards can get up to 110c, but outside of cooler shouldn't be getting close to that. I've gave up and sent it back, It's not put me off AMD gpu's, But this really did pee me off at times. Maybe I got bad one, But I'm not going tryout other RX6950XT.

Brilliant card, but a few things to note!

First of all let me say that this is a top tier card, the performance is great, I game at 1440p and it's well over 150fps in AAA titles, smooth and not overly loud, (I've heard complaints of coil whine, but my card has none). But the elephant in the room is the power draw, I have a 750w fully modular branded PSU and I'm going to have to change up to at least 850w as although it stated 750w is a minimum PSU requirement in the recommended spec requirements, 750w is just not enough, despite undervolting in the Adrenaline AMD driver software, it's just not enough headroom of power with 750w in my system, (which I built myself, so know all the specifications), so I personally would advise a minimum of 850w after all my testing.Other than that it's a brilliant card after owning and using both AMD and Nvidia cards, my last card being an RX 6700xt, and previous to that an RTX 2070, which this card well outperforms by a large extent.BTW, I got this card for just £399 in the last prime day sale, which is a terrific price for such a card, and intend to use this card in my next build which will be AM5, with a larger rated PSU.

Good performer but loud

Don't get me wrong after two months, this is a solid card with good performance for price. However, the coil whine on this card is unbearable without headphones on, and the software issues continue with glitches here and there. Unfortunately, Nvidia is still ahead of AMD in terms of GPU so I'd give it a few more years before considering another AMD GPU.
