I use it for my kindle to read in bed. I tend to fall asleep while reading in bed, this keeps me from dropping it on my face. My kindle 7 is just a hair too small for the grips but I put a couple rubber bands on the grips and it works fine. an 8 inch tablet doesnt need the bands.
