Solid affordable tool
Does the job great. May order more, just make sure you know where the panel reset is when using the gfci feature.

An essential wiring safety check!
The media could not be loaded. I love the elegant simplicity of this socket tester - plug it in and you get a light pattern that you can match up to the table on the front of the product and diagnose the health of your circuit. It also has a nice GFCI tester to see if it pops when it is supposed to.I think this device is a potential lifesaver. When I made my video (attached) I noticed that I was getting some blinking on the lights that indicated a possible intermittent ground. I popped open the box and found that the groundwire was a little loose despite a green light on the GFCI itself. In a few seconds, I was able to identify and fix a problem I didn't even know I had!

A must for anyone. Electricity isnt something to mess with, especially at this inexpensive price.

A trusted brand but missed the mark
OK, I have used Fluke products for over 40 years and they are dependable, well made and rugged. The price was cheap for a Fluke but the design of the form factor was mot well thought out. It worked well for testing standard outlets in the house but I had to use a short extension cord in order to test my outside GFCI receptacles. The unit would not fit into the receptacles due to the enclosure of the GFCI box.Other than that little inconvenience, I like the tester. It is well built and seems to be durable.Made in China
