a brilliantly fascinating and deeply touching story of a breathtaking promise of love at the highest possible risk
Whole Latte Love is a brilliantly fascinating and deeply touching story of a breathtaking promise of love at the highest possible risk. This mesmerizing story will lull you into a false sense of security and then strip you bare as it forces you to confront your brightest desires and your darkest fears. It cuts no corner and gets to the heart of the matter sooner rather than alter. We see is a quiet, disconcerting vulnerability that underscores a ravishing love that longs for security with every fiber of its being, but to win it, nothing is off limits.Carina Chen has something to prove. She is determined to make her ambitions come true no matter the cost. However, she never imagined that the cost would touch her so profoundly and leave its indelible mark on her heart. All she wants was to secure her future, but Fate has something entirely different in mind for her. Dylan Jewel is running from a past that has left him hallowed out and writhing in silent pain. He is determined to forge through life on his own terms and conditions and doesn’t let anyone stand in his way. When love finally comes knocking, he doesn’t know whether to run screaming or pull it close and never let go. In the end will Fate succeed in dictating their future, or will these two manage to stubbornly bypass what has been laid out for them as they opt to chase the undeniable song in their heart?I was overwhelmingly surprised and overjoyed to see such a wide and beautiful array of characters throughout this amazing book. They all bring their own spice which makes for a very stimulating and one of a kind experience. I couldn’t love Carine or Dylan more. Their level of complexity and depth left me gasping for breath. I hurt and rejoiced right along with them. Noting could have prepared for me this spectacular journey, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Dylan’s easy going, sunny personality was a perfect balance to Carina’s quietly determined personality. Surprise is the spice of life without which it quickly becomes bland and colorless.Rachelle Ayala always finds a way to crack my heart open and find just one more place were a story would fit perfectly. She brings so much introspection and warmth to my life. Without her ingenious adventures, I would truly have a much less vivid and diverse creative life. She is an author that any serious romance reader needs to experience at least once.

Opposites attract-or are they really opposites? Funny, Witty, Totally Beleivable in this Day and Age.
I have read many of Rachel Ayala's novels and there has yet to be one that I have not simply loved. She will have you laughing, gasping, sometimes even have you shaking your head at how you can actually picture things happening in real life. The world of investment banking-especially in NYC or other large cities like in California, is cut throat and that is putting it mildly. Carina, an Oriental young girl brought up in a strict home has only one thing in mind--to keep her sights on the job. She has never had any boyfriends because her parents always instilled in her the need to succeed first in school-now in her chosen profession. She managed to snag an internship at a prestigious firm where she hopes they will want to hire her permanently. When she asks an old friend if she knows where she can rent--things start to get interesting! She moves in with a sexy barista and lays down the rules--in writing--which he agrees to--somewhat. Heavens Carina loves rules and even more so when they are in writing AND signed!! At work she has some trouble just because she is female------when her female boss says she will help her if Carina when asked to jump will say how high---darn-I refuse to give away this story--Her sexy barista friend has a hidden past of his own-----he is not exactly the free wheeling rock star he appears--well he is--but---Okay--it is a five--read it--you will love it!! It is one of those new genre Young Adult--I found nothing offensive what so ever-but I leave that to your discretion as to whether you want your teen to read this or not.

A unique love-story
The reader meets driven and focused banking intern, Carina and easy-going, guitar-playing Dylan. How can two dramatically different personalities embrace each other? The author takes us on a gentle journey as two of the most unlikely people discover each other's complexities. I was totally attracted to the plot as what I thought was going to unfold -did not. So, I had to keep reading to find out what would happen next. Mystery and intrigue are woven into the story-line as well. Ms. Ayala touches on Asian stereotypes in a sensitive manner and this novel reminds us that we are not always the image we present to the world. A riveting read.

And I thought my family was dysfunctional
I have one word for thisTHERAPYI literally want to sit the Jewell family one by one on my couch and dredge all their dirty secrets out of them. Though nothing can make me like Rebecca, I sense that there are so many deeper stories to uncover from this one.

Recommend heartily
I really enjoyed this book. Great balance in terms of romance and humour and a heroine and hero I really liked although at times I wanted to slap some sense in the heroine's head. The plot was quite interesting, providing what appears to be an inside look at the cut throat world of high finance. It was kind of shocking and scary that it starts at the internship stage. It was quite pleasant to find an Asian heroine as I am half Chinese myself.I give it 4 stars and would recommend it to other readers.
