CeraVe Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover, Waterproof Makeup Remover With Ceramides & Plant-Based Jojoba Oil To Nourish & Hydrate, Non-Comedogenic & Fragrance Free, 1.3 Oz

This is the first cleansing balm I've tried. I tried oil cleansers before but wrote them off because of breakouts. Turns out I was using it wrong. This is NOT a face wash, it's an oil makeup remover. If you fail to remove it all on acne prone skin, you 100% will break out. My first time using this I, I could not rinse it off. Yes, it says "easy to rinse", but no, this is an oil and will not rinse off with just water. Oil & water- don't mix. After doing lots of research, here is what routine works for me:1- Take a small scoop of the balm with your finger, emulsify it between your palms then apply to your face.2- Wet your hands and continue working the product into your skin. This will make sure all makeup including mascara are lifted.* at this point, even after a couple of rinses, there will still be tons of this balm on your skin, smearing more the more water you add*3- This part is the most important; in order to truly remove the balm/oil from your skin, you HAVE to use a cotton round, washcloth or makeup eraser. Gently swiping until the balm is gone.4- After removing the balm with a washcloth, wash your face normally with your cleanser and voila!I have especially sensitive, rosacea, and acne prone skin, and when using the above steps, I have no breakouts or irritation. I wear a full face of makeup daily- moisturizer, primer, sunscreen, foundation, eyeliner, mascara- and this balm removes it all. The jar is tiny, but a little goes a long way, especially when you emulsify it in your hands before applying. I always gravitate to CeraVe because they are fragrance free and work great for those with sensitive skin.

I wasn’t sure about it at first but it works really well. You don’t need that much product, just scoop the back of your nail into it and rub it between your fingers. That amount can even remove a face full of face paint. I ordered this in October, 2024 and it only just ran out June 2025. Worth the price 👍

I love Cerave products and I love cleansing balm. This is excellent for first cleanse. It removes makeup easily and doesn’t clog pores. It’s a great first step in any skincare routine.

Esta es la segunda vez que lo compro, compre 4 unidades de una vez porque aquí donde vivo me cuesta encontrarlo y en buen precio. Me encanta como derrite el maquillaje especialmente la zona de los ojos y como elimina esos labiales de larga duración. Las pestañas quedan super limpias y libre de máscara, no necesitas frotar con fuerza, solo un ligero y constante masaje hasta que miras que ya no sale nada mas. Despues de usarlo, retiro con una toalla suave que solo uso para rostro y lavo con mi jabon de rostro tambien de Cerave. Sí lo recomiendo!

I had to cover my face completely with white makeup for a cosplay. After reading the reviews of several different types of makeup remover, I decided to give this one a go. It was amazing! I used the tissues in the hotel bathroom, and it just melted everything off. And I had put a ton of makeup on. It took a decent amount of tissues but not too much of the product. My roommates even borrowed it later to take their makeup off and loved it.

Well it really pays to read the product description because for the money it is a fraction of the size of my normal makeup removal! I’m going to keep it though and see if it’s worth the small size. We will see not worth returning.

I’ve actually repurchased this product several times. I use this to double cleanse my makeup off. It is very effective at melting off mascara easily where I feel it doesn’t damage my eyelashes. Then I go in with my actual face wash after and my makeup is completely removed
