i had to use it to scoop an axolotl out of the tank, it was big enough for that. nice large size

I hadn't ever intended to take my fish out of my aquarium. But when my GFCI outlet behind the tank went on the fritz, I needed to drain and temporarily move the tank. I bought this large 6" net to move my discus fish, some of which measured nearly 6". The net worked well and held securely, even with such large fish flopping around during removal. I recommend this net, but wish there was an even bigger one in case I need to move my fish again in the future after they've grown even more.

Now many of you would call this a medium sized net because the type of fish you raise are huge. For me, my fish are on the small side and this net is probably a little overkill for me - but once the fish grow it will likely be just fine. It's very soft, appears to be sewn well, it does have a seam at the bottom. Handle is long and sturdy.

This made my life little easier. I got this net for my 55G tank. Now I don't have to chase and cause trauma to catch any fish for any reason. Since it is bigger than my existing net, it makes easier than ever. Like it a lot so far. No complaints as of now.
