Simple offline photo backup solution.
I wanted an offline backup for my photos whilst traveling. With this device I can insert an SD card into the provided slot, connect a portable drive via the USB connection, push a button and away it goes. Perfect. I can backup on multiple days to save all my photos as I go. Exactly what I needed. When I get home I can either plug my SD card or the USB drive into my home computer and upload all my photos.

A plus for the IT support
I’m a hobby genealogist taking photos of my records having between between 70,000-100,000 photos. I’ve been looking for a backup product for years. This certainly fits the bill and I can’t give enough compliment to IT Support: each question no matter how trivial was given attention and a timely a response.Ronnie San Antonio, Texas.

Nifty concept
I need better instructions. Do not explain process I require.

DO NOT rely on this unit!
I bought this for a photography trip where I wouldn’t have to bring my laptop to transfer my SD files for back up. Unfortunately, this product failed miserably. Not only did it failed to connect almost every time to my phone app, the “automatic“ single-button transfer also failed. As a result, I had to scramble in a foreign country to buy a lot of expensive equipment (of lower quality than I could get at home), just so that I would have at least some back up of my photos. Do not rely on this unit, as it will cause you lots of frustration and expense.

Great for a pocket NAS
cool little pocket NAS to carry 1TB SD worth of movies in your pocket!. Samsung make. 1 TB SD card for like $70. It's great for all your movies instead of spending a $1600 iPhone with 1 TB. Haven't used as portable battery yet but sure its great too

Wanted for SD Card Backup functionality - only "ok"
I have done fairly few reviews but wanted to leave one here so others could find out what I discovered (so far). I was looking for a device to back up my SD cards on vacation as I've heard that theft is quite significant where I am going. After considerable searching - this is one of the very few options out there for this purpose. I have not tried the router functionality yet as I have no need for it at the moment.First - everyone should trust other reviews and sites that state that there is no functioning app for the product on iphone - there is definitely not one that I could find. The web access works fine - but even loading the file list on the SD card (half full 128 GB card) was horribly slow - not sure it would have ever finished - making this a "no go" to copy the files to an attached drive.Lastly, I tried the auto function to backup the SD card to the attached SSD. It certainly worked - was pretty slow - but at night in the hotel that will be fine. It added folders to the card and the SSD and created a copy in a dated folder - all good. Now the unknown: What will it do if I add more pictures to the same card and use the auto backup function again - will it copy the first group of pictures a second time or be smart enough not to - I'm kind of betting on the former - will add to this when I do more testing. So - potentially good for what I need - don't want to travel with a computer - so very few options for large SD card backups on long trips with RAW files from a high megapixel camera - but slow. We'll see.Given the lack of a functional app for iphone and the speed - I'd say 2-3 stars max - at lease for the SD backup functionality.

File Transfers from SD to ext-HD without computer!
Works great - Purchased to be able to transfer video files from my Action camera SD card onto my external SSD without the need for bringing a laptop while on Motorcycle trips.it worked flawlessly - great product. (just remember to bring USB power cords when transferring large files) not sure how long the battery lasts for long trips. file transfer rate seems just as fast as Laptop.
