Great book - has very insightful advice that you won't typically find anywhere else
This is a very well articulated book on an issue that is very hard to understand (till you read the book of course). The author has given deep insight into the factors that drive limerence and make it the maddening, debilitating issue that it is. The advice given to overcome limerence is also different and more permanent than the typical "go NC" advice that you find on the internet. Finally and most importantly, the book gives you hope that if you work on rewiring your innermost wants, needs and how you want to live life, limerence can be shut down completely.Great book and extremely uplifting to say the least. 5 stars to the author!

The methods suggested in this book do not work.
Applying the methods in this book will not cure your limerence ,it will not get you out of current limerence episode. I do not understand why writer made these claims that her methods will cure it permanently ,if she suffer with this i hope it won't happen to her again but no these methods won't work.

Really incredible book, easy to read and understand such a complex psychological phenomenon, this book has already given me so much help and hope and I’ve only just finished it, eager to continue with the healing strategies. Thanks.

Good insights but no solution
This book is al about selfhypnosis and affirmations and I find those solutions not very helpfull. However I do recommend this book: it gives great insights in your limerence and yourself, far more than any other book or website that I have read on this subject.

Wow! It's like the owner manual for humans (at least some humans).
I came across this book by going to Lucy’s blog and seeing the notification about this book being available. I’ve read a few limerence entries on her blog before and considered it the best limerence help one can find on the internet. Immediately, I became excited about the book. Myself and a few friends of mine share this predisposition to limerence and although I’m currently free of it, I wanted to hear some more information and insights, especially coming from a neuroscience expert.I was pleased the price for Kindle ebook was affordable and got it. The book is short and one should be able to read it in short time. I’m not a slow reader, but it took me a lot of time to go through the book. Some paragraphs i had to reread a few times for the revelations to sink in. Every 10-20 pages i had to stop and pounder about my ways. Some of my thoughts were not comfortable, but the process of healing clearly crafted by Lucy took place and I came out from reading it a changed person. Fully optimistic about my next direction of my life.Lucy’s message is incredibly uplifting and motivating to change. She is a charismatic person and it comes through her writing. Her writing style is exquisitely beautiful but easy to understand. She is able to blend scientific information into easy to understand prose that is intermingled with spiritual values and deep human compassion and it’s fascinating to read. When I was near the end of the ebook. I was genuinely sad that this comes to end soon. Just like a wonderful vacation trip when it’s ending. This book moved me and touched me like no other book. Lucy’s intimate knowledge of Limerant personality made me feel she wrote it just for me after knowing me all my life. It's like the book is all about me. It's like the owner manual for humans (at least some humans) we should have had it all the time but nature didn't give it to us.I recommend this book for anyone who is in the mids of limerence, or who knows someone affected by limerence, but also for some of us who overcame limerence, but still harbor hidden limerent tendencies inside. I didn’t even know I had them, but my experience with the book showed otherwise.In summary, the $9.99 bought me a window into myself, a spiritual journey, healing experience better than any psychoterapy sessions I aver had, and a priceless feeling of a connection with a fellow human being who is caring and wants to help countless suffering souls.I sent the link to the ebook to some of my friends and encouraged them to read the free introductory content to see if they want to purchase the book for themselves. Some liked it a lot, but one person did not. I guess YMMV and try the free content first to try it out.As for me, I’m hooked on Lucy’s writing and looking forward to any more books she may have in the pipeline.Despite a few cons, I’m so impressed, I’m giving the book all 5 stars.Summary.Pros:Easy and enjoyable to read, beautifully written, very helpful, uplifting, a spiritual experience (at least for me).Cons:Short text and few references. Not everyone likes her style of expression.

Exactly what you need to feel free
You have nothing to lose - buy this book.It's not just helpful for Limerence, this book is useful for OCD and the subsequent Anxiety/ depression that comes with it. As a sufferer of OCD/ Anxiety/ depression my whole adult life, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me mentally and why I kept getting so over-attached to people who I perceived didn't treat me well and the subsequent devastating highs and lows that accompany that type of attachment. After researching co-dependence and other addictions, Limerence seemed like it might fit too and this book gave me the basis for trying to figure out the steps needed to 'fix' myself. This book gives you an understanding of the brain on a deep, physiological, level. What I enjoyed most about this book is that it tells you that your brain can and will change, if you want it to and are willing to put in the necessary work to do so - that is exactly what I needed to be told.As a person who loves trying to figure myself out, It seemed to speak to me directly with a lot of the past trauma/ unresolved psychological issues and the plan and tips within it I've been following for nearly a month now. I'm happy to say that I am feeling so much better in myself, not as 'bothered' by things that used to really trigger me and finally seeing my life and my connections as they really are; not how I just want them to be.It would be useful to have at the end of the book or at the end of each chapter, a bullet pointed list of 'action points' to work on as some of the sections are quite wordy. I went through the book and made an action list myself.To reach recovery, you have to be fully committed to change and fully committed to engaging in your own life - You won't be disappointed with this book if you are willing to put in the work to live your best life, free from the highs and lows of ill fated attachments be it romantic or plutonic.
