Great to deliver six zones of music to my 6000sf home
Great to play different music in the nursery, living room and outside with B&O in wall speakers. Not for playing overly loud, but to give your whole family some freedom, can’t be beat. I have not yet connected to my Meridian system and AMP, but I’ll bet it will sound even better when I get to that room. May also buy a second unit to add another zone where I don’t have speaker wire run but do have Ethernet. That would appear seamless on your phone as a controller.

Nice Amp with Some Issues
This amp is great for powering home sound systems, especially when streaming from Alexa or Google Music since each zone or groups of zones can play different music easily by voice command. Volume is also easily controlled by voice commands as well. We like the A.6x so much that we also got an A.1x that we installed in our garage to power in-ground speakers around our patio. The sound is excellent. It's nice to hear background music and be able to talk with guests rather than having music blasted at you from one location. The VSSL build seems solid and the unit feels very secure rack mounted. The software, however, has been abysmal. The setup was painful, and the Android app was a joke. The good news is that VSSL just released a new Android app that is MUCH better and much more stable. I assume that has mitigated the setup issues since setup is done from the app that kept crashing. I still knocked off a star because there are still software issues.1. The new app won't set the power mode. The units won't allow me to change the "Always On" mode to "Auto" which actually did work fine with the old app.2. The Default on Volume feature works but is essentially useless since it triggers before each streamed song. This means that if you change the volume while listening it will go back to the Default on Volume for the next song which may be a lot louder or softer than you want. It renders this important feature pretty much useless but with it turned off, it's pretty easy to have speaker groups get out of whack or have speakers at extreme levels. If this was fixed, I'd give the A.6x a full 5 stars despite its high price tag.

Poor Quality.
My wife and I built and new home 5+ years ago and outfitted our home audio with 2 VSSL A6 units. A year later we built a new shop and installed a VSSL A1. I have since had two of the A6 units die. One for a failed power supply and the second one failed for unknown reasons. Request for service from VSSL went no where. There was no interest from VSSL to have the units looked at and replace the failed components. I was willing to pay to have the units repaired, but the only option that VSSL offered was to purchase a new units. At $3200 per A6, I was extremely disappointed with the customer service and the failures experienced with the product after a short period of time. My most recent failure occurred on 12/19/23, I sent an email to customer service to once again request support for the most recent failure, but to date have not received a response.
