Fluke116/62 Max+ Technician's Combo Kit

Very nice bundle, two different style attachments for temperature reading one is a thermocouple (for probing) and the other one I believe is to wrap around a pipe like a liquid line on an AC unit. Leads seem very sturdy, they have covers on the ends that can be retracted by twisting them which is very convenient. I used the microamp setting to see what a flame sensor was putting out and it worked great. The temperature gun is awesome, I was shooting it into my coffee getting readings, maybe I will actually use it for some plenum readings in a furnace or to test thermostat accuracy. Continuity test with the audible beep is a nice feature too. The only thing is the backlite doesn't stay lit for very long, I'll have to see if there is a way to adjust it. The magnetic strap is also very nice and convenient. The case is very nice and has multiple pockets to keep everything organized, if this had an ammeter clam then it would be the ultimate perfect package and you would need nothing else.

I absolutely love my Fluke test meters as well as their inferred meters and Clamp meters I am a Certified Maintenance Technician at a plastic company that produces bags and sheets for so many companies and our machines are all Electronically Based machines from the Heat control to the brushless computer board controlled motors that start and stop on a hair in less then a fraction of a second and Fluke has never failed me or any of our Technicians when it comes to testing capacitors or logic controllers or simply buses 600v fuses and wiring and magnetic electric motor power switches I don’t know how to explain it any simpler of that we have put fluke meters and readers there but they have always prevailed 100 percent accurately better then us technicians operating them lol great tools for the buck and built to last I’ve had some meters take some hard falls and survive with minimum scratches and dents as it’s said in life you get what you pay for and I for one show what I have bought cause I know I’ll only have to buy this once the only reason I purchased this package set and clamp was for on call purposes as it’s easy to carry at 3 am and will do the job I need to do when I get in to company to see what problem lies ahead of me once I get there as my expensive tools I don’t leave out in the open and it’s easier for me to bring these sets in then go open up maintenance room and tool chest at 3 am to change out a buses 600 amp fuse or reset a breaker or replace a thermocupling simple and correct observation the first time is key cause if I’m there for 2hrs or 5 minute I get paid for four but the company expects everything right the first time around and I depend on my tools that’s why I use and choose Fluke products. That’s the bottom line

This kit is amazing for an HVAC guy. You get three temperature sensors from the gun to the pipe strap meter to the free air one. The meter is also very accurate and has everything you would need to work on a furnace or air conditioning unit. If you are trying to get something for someone who just likes to read voltage on a bench or in the field then this kit has more than is needed. I was very satisfied with my purchase because it does everything I need and more. The fact that it comes with the case and the magnet are just the cherry on top.

I love this combination of tools and great price too

I am a project manager for a company that produces waste water treatment plants. This kit is perfect for me because I need to check both voltages and temperatures.We do a lot of amperage as well, but I have an amp clamp that works great. This is not a great set for amperage.

Everything in this pack works like clockwork. It comes with the multimeter and a IR thermometer plus all the necessary cables and a carrying case. This is a great start for those beginner HVAC techs in your life. Be warned though the leads to check voltage are sharp and can cut you if your not careful.

I've owned this combo for a couple of years and I just remembered I gave away the thermometer and need to replace it. The thermometer survived a 2000+ miles of Baja during the NORRA 1000 and it was very handy to shoot temps on the wheel hubs of the trucks and the trailers. We were able to catch a few eminent wheel bearing failures before they turned into disasters by monitoring the temps. Fluke accuracy isn't really something I'd question and my use case doesn't require precision but it's nice to know the tool is made by a respected manufacturer. I've got a couple cheapo HF thermometers and multi-meters and the FLUKE equipment is much, MUCH nicer to use. Fluke ain't cheap but it's nice to have a tool you can rely on to work every time you need it.
