Works great. Super cheap. You need a battery tester just because you want to see if you are getting ripped of by buying dead batteries, this item is awesome!!!!! You can test AA, AAA, 9volt, and so on. Pretty much any battery for everyday use. It feels cheaply made, but it works great, was cheap so who cares. Would for sure recommend.

For the price this unit is a good deal. to make it an even better deal install a small spring mechanism to hold the small red clamp in placewithout fumbling with holding the red clamp in place. Then this is a 5 star buy ! I still love it and use it all the time.

I have used a similar (?) analog device for years. This digital device is infinitely more exact and repeatable. It is already saving me $$$!

How many times do you have batteries where only 1 is dead and you can't tell which one? They just don't come with the own power checkers anymore. My drawer was filled with batteries. Couldn't tell sometimes if just bad battery or whether product stopped working? At least this simple thing is able to tell me how much power left and whether to throw out old and useless batteries now. Would definitely consider getting a more advanced one next time though

Worked for a couple of days, then just stopped.Took it apart and tested for continuity. The wires are still in working order, so it seems something on the board just died.Too bad, it was really useful when it worked.
