Oem Black Armrest Cover Center Console Latch for Vw Jetta Golf Bora Skoda Lavida

Looks and fits good in my 2003 VW Jetta GLS. I would reccomend this product to anyone looking to buy an armrest cover for a car like mine. I had a cloth cover before and I tried looking for a cloth cover but had no luck. I'm sure I could've gone to the dealer but I didn't feel the need to pay the high price when I could get this one for a deal. The leather cover looks nice and it's a lot better than having a broken cloth cover.

First, I put this in my 2006 mk4 Volkswagen Golf 2.0. This took about a month to arrive (despite the tracking indicating something closer to 6 MONTHS delivery time!!). My old armrest had a broken hinge, and a broken lid-release (and the cloth was kinda worn).I got this because, good lord, it's cheap! I'll say these things about it:Pros:- Does the job- Fits snug as a bug- Material is very nice (as nice as pleather can be) with no wrinkles around the corners- There are no gaps or size discrepancies - as far as fitment in the car. Looks like it came with it.Cons:-The hinge part doesn't seem to be quite wide enough to clip in place firmly (too easy to take back off)- The latch part is TOO snug. Pulling the front latch wont release the lid unless I use one hand to hold up the release and the other to push forward from the back to get it to let go!! (I feel like a bit of sanding on the inside of the latch will make enough room to fix this problem though.)Overall, I got what I paid for, and I'm happy with it! Where it sort of lacks some functionality (until I fix it), it makes up for in looking great.

This was a big surprise to find this item. Mine has been broken for some time and wasn't planning to buy OEM. Price was really cheap.Original was cloth covered but I really like the vinyl / leather. It snapped in perfectly and the latch works awesome. So nice to not have to always be fighting the broken one.Awesome buy, great quality !!

I initially bought this for my 2004 VW Jetta several months, but ended up using to update the used 1998 VW Passat we bought. I had the auto mechanic install it for next to nothing. Looks and works great- so, I went ahead a bought another one for my Jetta as originally intended since my latch was completely broken, and as with the Passat replacement, it went on easily (the oil change shop put mine on), looks exactly like the original piece that came with my car, and has held up well in both vehicles.

To start, I ordered this part to replace my OEM part that the latching mechanism had broken on such that when you flipped it up, the cover flipped open and would dump anything stored inside into the backseat. I saw this and the price and reviews it had received to date made it a no brainer to order this part.To the part, when it is installed and latched closed, it looks really nice. It's when trying to open it and after it's open that it loses the two stars (possibly three). I only knocked off two stars from my rating largely because the price I paid and how it looks when it's closed.The issue when trying to open it is it seems to hang up and requires pushing on the release button fairly hard in combination with nudging the entire cover forward to get the latch to disengage. That issue may be able to be fixed by taking a little sandpaper to the edge of the latch mechanism and rounding that off a little. Haven't had a chance to do that yet, but something to think about before installing if you do buy this armrest cover.The larger issue I have with the part is the hinge mechanism is not a very good copy of the OEM part. When removing my original cover, it took a lot of force to push one side of the hinge in to get it to release the pins from the "hinge holes". After installing this one, I find that very little force (and I mean very very little) applied sideways to the cover causes the hinge pin on the side you are pushing on to pop loose from the hole that it is supposed to be trapped in. It's not a huge deal, but if you open it and then nudge it slightly, the pin pops out and now the cover is loose. This issue may be able to be fixed by using a heat gun and attempting to increase the distance between the hinge arms to make it harder for the hinge pin to pop out of place.Neither of these issues should be considered deal breakers (and maybe the issues I am having aren't prevalent in the production of these covers), but just beware that, from my experience, these are not an OEM quality replacement part, but again is pretty good considering the price.

You absolutely cannot beat the price for this replacement. It fits perfectly, and was simple to install. It should be noted that the "leather" doesn't match the leather interior perfectly. The texture of the arm rest is slightly different than the leather seats, but I don't notice it at all when I'm driving. I think it's also important that the black of the arm rest is very slightly lighter than the black on the interior of my 2000 Volkswagen Jetta.

Installed in my 2005 GTI. Looks far better then the broken and worn out one I had before. That said, it's not perfect but does it's job. The hinge pegs go into place very easily bc they are smaller than the OEM, whish is nice for instal but it will pop out if you open it and are too rough. The button lock in the front isn't a perfect fit either but it does lock in place. For the price this is a great replacement that does it's job and took less than ten seconds to install.

Not sure if this is really OEM, (labeled as Volkswagen of Shanghai) but the fit and finish are excellent. Snapped right in to my '01 Passat and '04 Jetta. Padding is nice, latch and hinge work perfectly.As OEM is pretty much junk for this era of VW, just about anything is an improvement. Now if they would just sell a glove box door at a similar price point.

Fits my 2004 jetta without issue. Has not broken unlike the original part within the same timeframe...

Very economical solution to a broken mk4 Jetta/ golf arm rest, vinyl is a bit thin , but that being said it works well so far

came in and looked good, but the clamp broke within 6months.. still using it but the latch can't clip down
