20 Mylar Ziplock Food Storage Bags 5.5"x7", 5mil

I've tried five of these bags and so far they seem pretty good. My use for them right now is to pack Weber fire lighting cubes in them. The Webers are great but lose potency pretty quickly when exposed to atmosphere. So far nothing has leached thru the mylar. They seem to seal very well in my VacMaster VP215; with the machine set for 30 seconds vacuum, 2.5 second seal, 1.7 second cool at "LOW" bar power I definitely can't pull the seal apart. The VP215 pulls almost 30" of vacuum so there's not enough moisture or air in the bag to need a O2 absorber, I think.The only downsides are that one of the twenty packages had a near-puncture in it; it's really stressed like something poked it. Whatever did it didn't penetrate but I'll be keeping an eye on that particular bag. Also, the price is a little high on these. Granted shipping is included. But I was really eager to try them and they offer 1 Day Shipping, so I bit!Once I have a couple months to monitor the bags to verify they don't leak and are capable of holding that strong of a vacuum I'll check back in and update the review.

I bought these bags to store drug aids for my police K9 training, and was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy they are. I did not use them to store food, but if they held up to the abuse my K9 and I subjected them to during training, I'm sure they would work great. I highly recommend.

I have purchased these bags and am purchasing another 40. I use these bag for making individual meals for my food storage. They work great and are just the right size for individual meals. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to start putting up dried foods for storage.

These are small but seal really well. In an emergency situation you really don't want to be opening and having to use or let 1-5lbs of food go to waste so it's nice to have several of these around for oats, rice, and quinoa.
