Really nice and a really nice price.
I needed a monitor with audio but didn't want to spend a lot and I've used Amazon Basics before for other things, so I thought this was a great deal. At first, I thought, I needed a 32" but the one that I am replacing is 27" so it was a no brainer. I LOVE IT! It has all kinds of settings and has 3 different video inputs and 3 USB inputs, one is the printer type, meant to be a hub. Also an audio in and out which I really like. The hardest part of setting up is the damned box, what is with all the tabs they put on them now!!?? I just tore it open. I had to read the manual only a couple of times as it is set just the way I like it. Most of the hardware assembly is no big deal, you can tell what goes where. Another nice feature is a regular plug, not a power block. You can easily plug into a power strip without taking up 3 outlets. The speaker/s are okay, but not vibrant enough for me. But I have an Altec Lansing speaker which I am using for the sound. Picture is great and it has many options for change if I want. It even has a gaming mode which I don't need but thought I should mention.

Great monitor, overly complicated menu
Got this to replace a 15 yr old monitor that died suddenly. This monitor works great, but the settings menu is a nightmare. Menu navigation is a hassle and the instructions don't explain what each option does. Luckily, the only settings you may want to change are brightness and contrast.Pay attention to your computer's resolution. If you computer's resolution is less than the max this monitor can handle, then you'll end up with a small display with a big black border. This monitor comes with a ridiculously long HDMI cable. I purchased a short 1.5 ft cable to replace it.It has one slight annoyance: it has a pop up that tells you briefly what your input source is when turning on or awaking from sleep. The pedastel mount is flimsy so be careful when tilting the monitor or you could damage the screen.

Great Plug and Play Monitor
Truly plug and play. Didn't change a thing. Assembly was breeze. Video is clear as can be, Im not a gamer so I cant say how it is fir gaming, But if you need a monitor for everyday use this one is great

It's good enough. Just buy the thing
I've had it about 3 weeks now. It's good enough. Also included hdmi cable. I needed a budget monitor. Overall this is solid but takes some tweaking to get there. Build quality is surprisingly good and both monitor and included stand seems sturdy. It's not ultra-thin or super thick thickness, seems fine to me. I initially hated the mild upwards tilt, which seems to be the style now, but I really liked it after a few days, and it can be adjusted. At $85 for a 24" with speakers, it's about as good as you're getting for a reliable monitor that won't break in a month. This monitor is very bright and sharpness isn't the best and it appears slightly washed out, but apparently all the cheaper IPS ones are. I turned up the contrast to max. Sound initially sounds awful out of the box, put on some music and let it run, and make sure sampling is set higher than the default. And in a day or two it sounds fine for training, youtube, powerpoint and anything else you'd do outside music or video editing on an $85 monitor. I don't game much, but I tried it on "Elder Scrolls: Oblivion" and "Town of Salem 2" and it looked very good.To raise or lower volume, hit the right caret > on the front of the monitor once and then again to increase and < to decrease volume. If you're on a budget, it'll work fine. If you have more money, look at Samsung's + speakers or if you want included the Dell or some of the others with built-in speakers.

It is what it claims to be. Pretty decent.
Pleased with the purchase thin edges tho so I'm worried about busting it. Not pleased with thickness. AI can bite me.Mounted fine. Bottom considers my concern. Easy to mount.

Disappointed at crispness
Monitor is good but not great. I had a Sonic View for years and I loved it. This is definitely a step down in terms of screen crispness. When you do a monitor search on Amazon this Amazon basic comes up and Sonic View doesn’t even come up. My recommendation is to spend a few extra dollars and get the really crisp screen. The cord that came with the computer didn’t fit with my computer either. Good thing I had my old cord. It worked.
