Great Product, it can be a little hard to use if you don't practice using it..

Most features seem to work as expected. By spending an hour or so of testing, it's easy enough to figure out the app settings to smooth out the gimbal's response to your movements. However, I can't find any way in either of the company's apps to change the direction of the focus knob. The way it works out of the box is that the focus moves closer to the camera as the knob moves in the direction away from the camera. This is too basic a function to work backwards. It's so counter intuitive that I can't wrap my head around adjusting focus on the fly.

The media could not be loaded. I got this SMOOTH 5 gimbal from Zhiyun for some video that I will be shooting of our new patio construction. It's a big project and I wanted some good documentation of it for my Yelp review of the company that's doing the installation. It took me a while to make my selection. The SMOOTH 5 won, with it's features, benefits and a great low price for such a professional tool.This gimbal is like my drones, complex, but worth every minute you spend doing the set up and programming. First, you have to learn how to hold it. Any hand held gimbal needs to be held where the handle is as vertical as possible at all times. Once you figure out all of the controls and features, it becomes much simpler to operate. Being able to 'point and shoot', using the controls on the gimbal to operate the camera is freakin' awesome. I would write a book, trying to go into detail about all of the functions.I practiced a while, before I actually got a video that I felt I could share here. You can see that, despite my unsteady gate and movement, the gimbal kept the video smooth and steady at all times.I am very pleased with this gimbal and will be using it, A LOT!

Let me mention that I am computer scientist, (I spent dozen of hours reading manual from manufacturer website! watching multiple videos!) first day I tried to charge it using supported by the manufacturer wire! many different Chargers! unfortunately it won't charge, after several hours of charging it was still showing that the battery is dead!!!I left it for overnight for charging, somehow next morning it was charged. I did download the app for iPhone 13 Pro Max. According to manufacturer suggestions I did download new software as the instruction says I pressed the power button for 3 seconds unfortunately sometimes it works sometimes not!!!after I open up I can see gimbal on my iPhone screen and all of the options I cannot do anything from gimbal bathrooms I have to manually touch the screen to make some changes!!most of their functions do not work according to instruction I can not do anything on my iPhone screen via the Gimbal!!the item is extremely complicated and it behaves randomly. I have a few the Gimbals older generation they work perfect!don't waste your money! and your time! it won't work like the manual and videos say.very often it turns of itself also sometimes is shaking like crazy that I was afraid that's my Smartphone will just go away, in summary I wanted to upgrade to little more expensive with match more futures, unfortunately that was my mistake, this item is cheap fake China product!!!!!!!!!!don't spend waste your money your time and your nerves.of course I try to call customer service in u.s. I got the message that the number doesn't exist!!! customer service doesn't exist as well !!!there is no support except few videos on YouTube, which do not explain problems which I experienced.good luck.Arek
