It is fun

I like the unit and found it was fairly easy to use. However what I found less desirable was that the cutter melted the foam in such a way that it turned the foam yellow leaving an unsightly appearance.

Never had an issue with this cutter. I took my time and had great results with all the attachments also

The Winons Hot Wire Foam Cutter WFC-0003 is working out well for my use. The three tips interchange easily, even while hot. Haven't used the wire yet but I've used the engraving tip and the knife. I've cut 3-inch circles out of 1-inch thick styrofoam with ease using the knife tip. The engraver works as well but a little slower. Don't want to put too much pressure on the tip by going too fast. Just remember, slow is fast. But take it easy and this appliance will do the job. Pausing for a few seconds between cuts will keep the tips a little hotter. I've got a lot of circles to cut and hope this keeps holding up but it seems like it will.

Item shipped without the Hot Knife Tip and the Engraving Tip. Just opened package today formy home improvement project, had no need to use it till now. The return date has long since past so now I'm stuck without two of the tools that appI need to do the job. How difficult is this? There's only 7 pcs and 2 of the pcs I need aren't there. Once again, 7 Pcs. And what's with the brown handled mini Cheese Knife? It's not in the User Manual under "Package Includes" on page for. ( See Pic ) Neither is the Black Marker. Once again,( See Pic )

It works good. However, if you put the slightest slightest bit of pressure, it will unlock and turn on you.

The media could not be loaded.  So I'm building a storage box for a miniature scene base, with a 2in polystyrene board being the base as well as the lid and fitting on top of this rectangular foam piece I'm going to make into a box. Rather than glue pieces together and make a box and have weak seams, I was carving out the inside to make it more stable and use the pieces as part of the diorama.I used this cutter for the first time, getting the feel of it, and although it really cut smoothly, if the need arises to lift it out I cannot as everytime I do, the wire lifted out of it's base. I spent an hour trying to complete what could have been thirty minutes or even less, but took twice as long going slower to be careful, only to restring the wire and on the fifth time, having the stopper crimp break on me. Even though there was an extra wire included, based on the restringing issue and not the wire itself breaking and if they all broke after restringing, I would need four more pieces.Not only that, but the curve of the wire cutter holder made it hard to get nice slices, as the cutsble area became less as the deeper you slice, having to make me cut at angles to get big pieces off. This style is not for me and not for beginners.

I used this to cut insulation foam and it made the cuts so clean. Heats up fast and cools quickly. Compact( small in size). Need a steady hand or something metal to cut against to make straight lines.

Ich habe es eigtnlich nur gekauft, weil ich am Auto Styrupor glatt schneiden musste und dachte das Tool kommt danach in den Schrank und wird nie wieder gesehen.Ich hab mich getäuscht es ist inzwischen regelmäßig im Einsatz und hat mich bisher nicht im Stich gelassen.

No me gusta que no llegue en un embalaje separando cada pieza ,están liados y sueltos dentro de una caja . Falta el cable para recambio . El cuchillo está bastante quemado. Opino que debería de reunir todas las piezas y un mejor estado del cuchillo.
