Hello, This unit is a signal generator which generates RF signals for testing purposes rather than detect them. You would need a spectrum analyzer, and the model depends on what frequencies you are looking to detect. The PLUS models can detect signals as low as 50 KHz.

Hello,The RF Explorer Signal Generator delivers 8 different power levels, nominally specified below: RF output power (nominal) and switch position 0dBm (1mW) Attenuator OFF RF output power switch -3dBm (0.5mW) OFF Attenuator OFF RF output power switch 2 -6dBm (0.25mW) Attenuator OFF RF output power switch 1 -9dBm (0.125mW) Attenuator OFF RF output power switch 0 -30dBm (1uW) Attenuator ON RF output power switch 3 -33dBm (0.5uW) Attenuator ON RF output power switch 2 -36dBm (0.25uW) Attenuator ON RF output power switch 1 -39dBm (0.125uW) Attenuator ON RF output power switch 0The delivered power levels have a linear response up to about 3GHz, for higher frequencies there are some roll off and power becomes predictable but not linear. The unit is fully calibrated and includes an internal amplitude calibration table to allow accurate power normalization and measurement done in Tracking mode.The exact power level available on each frequency point will be available on screen in a future firmware upgrade, as well as in the RF Explorer for Windows application.With best regards,EMR Shielding Solutions Inc
