Works Great
Bought this to aid with the install of a Pioneer MVH-300EX into my 2009 Silverado. Got everything working including a backup camera, steering wheel controls etc. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Vast improvement over the older models for GM LAN radios.
Only hiccup was the absence of instructions, but the box contained a flyer containing instructions on how to get the instructions.Set DIP switches to match the radio I intended to install, wired the harness to my new radio harness, and tested. To my pleasant surprise, everything worked exactly as it should. Steering wheel controls worked perfectly. This interface cut my install time drastically. Very happy with the product, and the price on this platform was much less than the local shop.

Works in 12 Impala, hard to setup steering wheel controls and turn signal click clack chime sucks
Made radio install very easy, except trying to custom program the steering wheel controls (swc). There's supposed to be a way to configure the SWC switches in a laptop, but that app only recognized this interface for firmware updates, which it had none. Also, the turn signal click clack now comes out of the chime generator, but it's a third of the volume that you hear with chimes, and when you can hear it, it sounds like an old mechanical flasher from the 50s.

Say goodbye to Delphi
First off, it's amazing all the crap GM tries to run thru their radio units; and it's a real pain to bypass. The RP5 make installing a NON GM radio a snap. With this kit you can break the cycle of dependence GM tries to impose on their customer; and better yet, you can say goodbye to your POS Delphi radio.I've always loved my plasticmobile (2010 Chevy Traverse) but hated the sound system since day one. After the installation of the RP5, a JVC headunit, and new Pioneer speakers, I know have a nice sound system with decent dynamic range. The RP5 was the key. All OnStar functionality, system notifications, etc were preserved. XM functional can also preserved, although I deiced to install a separate XM tuner to work with the JVC headunit. The kit contains everything you need to enable your install a non-OEM radio, DVD unit, or GPS unit into your 2010 Traverse. Wiring harnesses, interface module (for amplified and non-amplified sound systems), speaker (for system sounds), steering wheel control adapter, aux input adapter and antenna adapter.Don't be afraid to ditch the Delphi! And it make for a fun weekend project.

Not for 2002 Cadillac
Was listed as fitting the 2002 cadillac. It does not. My installer claimed it was for a 2005 Silverado.
