It can be detected, but it is better to use another large detector.

If it is confirmed that the press does not move, the machine may be damaged, you can contact the Amazon front desk to replace it

Q: Would this detector work to find spent shells after a miltary funeral ?

This is used in conjunction with a larger metal detector to pinpoint after you have found it with the larger one. Sure I guess you could get down on your hands and knees and sweep the ground I guess. I ended up returning this one because it didn't work as well as the orange one for the same or cheaper price.
