Loved this juicy book about the lives of the richest and prettiest girls in middle school
I am 27, but I have a weakness for fun, light YA books like Gossip Girl and the Princess books by Cabot. I picked up the clique with a bit of trepidation, because it just seemed a little too snooty, and maybe too young for me. I shouldn't have worried. This was a playful, drama-filled, purely fun book that kept me entertained from beginning to end!Massie and her crew get stuck being nice to newcomer Claire (at least while Massie's parents are watching!), who isn't anywhere near as rich and fabulously stylish as The Clique. Claire, of course, realizes that she'd like to be part of the clique and tries to get in. How it all turns out is the story.I enjoyed this a lot and would recommend it to anyone over the age of ten who enjoys fashion, drama, and books that are just good light fun.

Really good!
Everything in Massie's life is perfect. She has perfect hair, a great clique, and she rules the school at Octavian Country Day. until CLaire comes along. Claire is a really nice girl who just moved from orlando into the Block's guest house. she wants to be instant friends with Massie, but Massie is not so welcoming.everyone in the group is etremely mean to her, from spilling red paint on her white jeans to make it look like a period stain, to throwing food on her head. Will Massie And Claire become friends? Reead to find out. This book is seriously amazing, it describes every teens problem so easily and in detail. it was so hard to put this book down! i read it in like an hour! Everyone of Lisi Harrisons books is amazing, I recommend this entire series along with Monster High.

The Clique is pretty good. It was an entertaining read, but the characters were shallow. Its ridiculous how much they care about their shoes! Additionally, the characters were stereotypes. I mean, the rich kids who are snobby and brats and have everything, and then the sweet, naive poor girl. The reason I gave it four stars was because it was an etertaining read and the writing was pretty good.

I read this book a while back but it's until now that I decide to write a review for it. Let me just say that this book is half good and half bad. Let me show you why:GOOD POINTS:-The writing is really good. The author has a flow with the words that makes it an easy and interesting read.-Even though the plot was kinda cliche, I think that the events were interesting for the resolution that the author wanted.-(may be a spoiler) Claire's plan made me laugh and Kristen's secret surprised me.-The PC members do act as if everything was centered around Massie...which in my opinion, they should, since Massie is their "alpha" and could kick them out of the group anytime they want too.BAD POINTS:-Idiotic and cliche idea. When haven't I read books about the good girl moving to town trying to get into the mean girl's clique? However, Claire moving in with Massie changes it a bit.-Some of the thoughts and dialogues are so dumb, I can't even...-I've been in private schools with snobby girls, and if I walked in with Keds I wouldn't be considered an "LBR".-What's up with all the "ehmagawds" and "LBR" stuff? I know that the girls are supposed to talk like that, but when I try to pronounce them aloud it just makes me laugh.-The characters...I found myself disliking the main ones. Claire is too...I don't know, she seems whiny to me. And Massie, well, I kinda like her and kinda not.Overall, this book is good but bad at the same time. However, young kids can read this as long as they have in mind that they should not act like this if they don't want to ridicule themselves.

read me!!!!!
Ok. I get what some of you people are saying and I know the pretty commitee is usually very, very snobish but the author is not trying to say that rich people are better. Massie seems perfect but she is very insecure and very protective of her rank and friends. Just because she's popular does not mean that shes totally confident. The clique is certainly not the kindest at all. I am not saying that the language and all the "lbr" talk is ok. No one is a "loser beond repair" ! That is crazy talk. If you havent read this book give it a chance and if your child is reading it explain to them that some of the behavior in this book is not ok and what the author is really trying to say.

OMG! So Awesome!
I thought this book was great! I'm in 7th grade too. I thought this book had as much drama as regular school! It was interesting and I felt the characters emotions. I tried not to read it too fast. That took a lot of will power!I read some other reviews before I ordered this book. I read a 1 star review that said, "What 7th grade girl buys designer clothes or hand bags." Umm a lot of people do. And she also said, "a normal 7th grade girl wears keds and overalls." I don't even know wat keds are! (she is the reason I bought this book!)

A read down memory lane
I had read all the clique series in middle school. I had been wanting to reread them for old time sake. Our local library got rid of them unfortunately so I am slowly buying the series! The book was in good condition. Came in a timely manner as well!

Good book
This is a pretty interesting book. But some things are baffling. Like how important money is to these girls. Honestly, I can see some of this things happen in real life, which makes it interesting; but the importance of money and the way some of the girls speak kind of ruins the book. But overall it is an interesting book and worth reading.
