MATBAH Stainless Steel Hot Pot Insulated Food Warmer, 2.5-Liter/2.6-Quart

After reading reviews for so many casseroles I decided to go with Matbah. I purchased the 1ltr piece. So far I have used it a couple of times. It keeps food warm for 2-3 hrs. I did not test it for 4hrs.

Worked fine, just don't know yet how long it will keep actually keep food warm.

The product works well ~ though keeps things cold or hot only for about 2 hours not 4 as I'd read ~ but even when I wash it in the dishwasher and use my "non-spotting" stuff they spot really badly and I have to work hard to "buff" out the water spots before using them. I never seem to get them all, either. Not good when you're trying to make a good impression (we give photo workshops and serve lunches and things need to look professional).

Best of the hot pots I have seen so far. I say that because no plastic touches food and is presentable on the table for a formal meal. Food stays hot/warm. But if someone comes up with decent stainless steel inside-out hot pots with locking mechanism (click tight or screw cap) rather than this cookie jar style, I would replace all my current ones with those.

I use this little dish all the time. I wish I had a little bit bigger one.

Looks great and very useful

Pros: Stainless steel construction and easy to wash/clean up. Does keep food warm but not 4 hours, more like 1 hour.Cons: Lid is not a locking lid. If it had locking lid it would probably hold food warm for 4 hours. May need to redesign product.All in all it is good for barbequed food which will be consumed pretty quickly and I do like the fact it cleans easily.

wish it has a locking device for travelling.
