I used this new stainless steel unit to replace my old rusty steel unit.Can barely hear this new one running.

We replaced an old noisy fan. This one is much quieter and works well.

We bought this about a year ago to replace a 20+ year old housing ( we were on our third motor and the oil burner tech mentioned our old one was falling apart) impressed by the construction and quiet operation, love the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel and it ended up being about 1/3 of the price our local oil burner company was going to charge us, even the installer who was from the oil company was impressed by the price difference.

In this case you pay a lot and get a lot. Sturdy SS construction, blower motor and wheel perfectly balanced for a whisper quiet, vibration free operation. One important thing to know - coming off a non-SS unit, this is not quite a direct replacement. The screw holes on the mounting plate are in different locations and the plate itself is somewhat bigger. You'd either have to drill new holes in the house or punch the plate to match the old pattern.

Nice.... it fits and a lot quieter than the original, being stainless, hope it won't rust out like the original, So far so good, but it's only been 1/2 winter usage, can't say for sure.
