APC 1600VA Line Interactive UPS

DO NOT BUY THIS UPS. My experience with the APC Easy UPS BVX1600LI-IN has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish, culminating in me being stuck with a completely useless, brand-new brick and losing my entire payment.The Core Problem: Dead On Arrival (DOA)* The unit arrived completely non-functional. Zero power, no lights, no response. Paperweight status.* Manufacturing Date: February 2022. This unit sat in a warehouse for over 2 years before being sold. The battery is almost certainly degraded or dead – a major red flag for any UPS purchased "new".* My Mistake: I didn't scrutinize the Amazon reviews before buying. Had I done so, I would have seen numerous reports of identical DOA issues with this specific model. This seems like a systemic problem, not bad luck.The Real Horror Show: Customer "Support" & Returns* APC Support was utterly useless. After jumping through hoops, they offered no solution for a brand new, DOA unit. Their troubleshooting was irrelevant for something completely inert.* Amazon's "Non-Refundable" Policy is a Trap. This is the absolute killer. Despite the unit being Dead On Arrival and clearly unfit for purpose, Amazon categorizes this product as "Non-Returnable" and "Non-Refundable". Let that sink in. You pay for a new product, it arrives broken, and you have ZERO recourse through the platform you bought it from. APC support offered no replacement solution either.* Effectively Stolen Money. I am now out the full cost of this UPS with nothing to show for it except frustration and a large, useless box.Conclusion: A Recipe for Disaster and Financial LossThe APC Easy UPS BVX1600LI-IN appears to have significant quality control issues, potentially exacerbated by selling old stock with degraded batteries. **However, the true deal-breaker is the combination of terrible support and Amazon's non-refundable policy. Bought it for Rs 12,331.This was tested on my 750 watt Consuming gaming PC. It gives me enough time to safely turn it off.I also tested it for a couple of minutes running a 600 watt mixer grinder and 2 Laptops simultaneously.Must unplug the batter latch and replug back in proper orientation before use. Don't push too hard.It would be good if this was placed on a metal mesh table for heat disspation

Just like in another buyer's review. I have also received a defective piece. It is an old stock, battery probably degraded due to being unused for 3 years since manufacturing. Total waste of money, time and effort from my end as there doesn't seem to be a way to return this and there is no response from the customer support. Just to clarify I have installed the battery connector and plugged it in to charge before using it, the backup does not work.

Pathetic product & service from Amazon. Being a PRIME member the amazon support team did not even bother to give me the details of the manufacturer customer support & said you can GOOGLE it. The product received was in good condition but did not TURN ON hence I raised a complaint for technical support but got the worst response possible that this product was delivered to you without any damage so we cannot do anything about it. They were not ready to listen to the fact that the product seems faulty. Anyway I will call the APC team on my own, but will now think twice before I order from Amazon.

This works pretty well. I have connected a monitor consuming 20W of power and my PC with a 850W gold rated PSU consuming 650W on peak load. The only problem is battery backup. At full load I get around 2 mins of battery backup and on normal use I get around 5-8 mins of backup.Many users are telling that this is useless but if you do the right things, this is good and can provide upto 900W of power output. After purchasing the UPS, make sure you charge it for 24 hours before use. Charge for 6 hours and then turn it off to let it cool down, again charge and then cool down until 24 hours of total charging time is complete. After that use it and it will work fine. Follow the manual read it fully.

No problems till now. It seamlessly transitions during power cuts. I have connected PS5, 55" Oled tv, router, music system and led bulbs to it. Not sure of total backup because mostly backup power is delivered within max 5 min in my apt. But there is no hiccups or fluctuations. Serves my purpose.

The received product is in not working condition and the manufacturer in 2021 delivered in 2025Item is not returning policy, struggling to resolve it, suggested not to bye any one

APC is synonymous with UPS technology but with this model they have disappointed me well enough. The batteries have stopped charging after 6 months of period and getting the replacement under warranty is a long wait.So, while I am waiting i am writing this review. I hope this helps others and makes APC a little prompt in their service.And yes, it's a loud one too.
