Item arrived within 24 hours of order to Scottish Islands, an outstanding effort. Decided to replace a three-year-old Vacuum sealer that was frankly hit and miss and cost around two-thirds the price of this gadget. Delighted to have taken the plunge and splurged more than intended on this (so far, excellent) Vacuum Sealer. It sure does suck and seal with rapid vigour, you can see the progress with illuminating digits. It has versatility and features as yet untried. Easy to clean and store. No hesitation in recommending it. Considerably better level of performance from my previous gadget which was hardly cheap, it frequently frustrated. Cannot yet vouch for longevity but beyond that, very impressed. Perhaps a tad expensive but...it works. What is not to like?

Got this today so can only report on 4 bags worth, but.....The difference in the quality of the build, the attachments and the controls are instantly noticeable.Its the quality of the weld across the sealing strip that stands out for me. A dead straight line with no gaps or wrinkles, unlike the previous one I had that eventually started to burn holes and/or create an uneven weld with hot spots along the line.The suction is better and I like the manual button to stop the vacuum and weld in place without loss of vacuum.The package comes with some large bags and medium bags 10x and 5x to start you off and a yard of cable to plug the machine in.The tube for using this machine on tubs is located inside the top lid along its length and is easy to miss, so check there first before contacting distributer.Keep the travel wedges that allow the unit to be stored with the lid open (back in box) so the foam sealing strips dont get creased if left in store for a long time. A removeable bath for liquids is great so its easily washable if vacuumed contents leak out.Overall, this unit cost just over twice the first one I bought and even at this early stage i'm pretty impressed and happy with it. Will update if anything changes.

Had to buy new machine as my old vacuum food sealer gave up. This new machine is really a step forward. Easy to use and does the job in no time. Very little to clean up and the pulse function works a treat. I fully recommend this machine. Get one, now.

Bought this after finding a different make of machine did not deliver. So far it is working okay, doing what it is supposed to do, but since it is more expensive than some of the machines out there, it ought to work properly. Decent size for storage purposes and easy to use.Does seem to play its face occasionally regarding the vac/seal function, but eventually, after changing bag size and amount of content, it will get there. Could do with being a bit more consistent, but overall it is okay. Arrived quickly and was well packed.

The vacuum stopped working after a few uses. It was after the date that Amazon allow me to return it. I wrote to Sous Vide asking to return it under warranty. They sent a curt message back saying it is Amazon's warranty. There is no way of returning this item.

Arrived in less than a day, safely packaged and exactly as described. I'm a professional chef who wanted a reliable vacuum packer for home use. It needed to do the job properly, every time - but not cost the earth. This product ticks all the boxes. It's very well priced (avoid the budget ones) and both the 'seal' and the 'vacuum' features are excellent. Seal, just to lock a bag for extended shelf-life; Vacuum for freezing goods down in a compact manner and also for Sous Vide (water bath) cooking. This product will help to minimise wasted ingredients, helping to save on costs and will also help save on freezer space. A typical pack of cooked meat might last 2-3 days, once opened. Vacuum-packing it will extend that shelf life to 3 - 5 days in most cases - often longer. I'm very satisfied with this product. 5/5

Great machine but u can’t use bag rolls as the bag cutter makes it impossible to cut straight line and no place to hold the roll cost me £15 to buy roll of bags only to find out
