Works great
I bought this for my model 2 Sega Genesis (its more sleek looking than the original, and larger than the tiny model 3) and it works great when I hook it up directly to my TV, or if I run the audio to my main receiver. Note that the while there are a bunch of tiny pins where it plugs into the back of the console, the console only actually connects to three of them, making most of them unnecessary. The only reason I am giving this item a 4 star and not 5 star review is because this cord for some reason doesn't play nicely with the $25 Red-White-Yellow-in to HDMI-out up-converter that I have. The converter gives me audio just fine, but the image comes out grey and full of weird visual distortions. The same convertor works just fine with my PS2, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the converter.
