I feel like i've just flushed this money down the drain and ...
I missed the return window do to build time and now i'm kicking myself. The instructions are meh and not complete. Especially in the late stages when it comes to wiring (after everything else is built). They provide a colored wiring diagram that doesn't even match what you have. I submitted a support ticket with questions and have received nothing after 2 weeks. I feel like i've just flushed this money down the drain and what's worse it was a project with my kids so now all the time they've put into it is lost too.I also love how the picture doesn't even show the control/power board that's floating free with screws coming out the bottom. Perfect for scratching the table you placed it on. Ask me how i know that.Update. After letting sit for a few months I got back on this project and finally got all the wiring done and proceeded to connect to my computer. The Repetier-Host software (open source, recommended by them) immediately detects and error and again, no support from Q3D. Additionally their support page no longer works, just goes to a white page. Trust me, do no buy this.

It prints, but it's a bit of a pain....
Let's be real; if you are choosing this it's because you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for something nicer. It works, but you will have to do the work if you want to get decent function. I received some bad parts in my kit, but was able to compensate by using my dremmel to modify the parts, and the company sent replacement parts after I contacted them (but that took a bit of time). Don't get this if you aren't ready to troubleshoot and fix problems on your own, if you need a plug-and-play printer, or if you are looking for something that can be quickly used to produce reliable parts upon assembly. That being said, it is an incredibly educational experience building and tuning the printer, and I am looking forward to remaking the frame using better material when I have time.

Sets you up for difficulties
I bought this printer knowing it wasn't the best. I can't speak on the quality of prints or parts because they provide no information about what to do after you assemble the printer. I would return it but I'm determined to try and get it to work.

excellent printer for the money
I was a bit skeptical that you could get a functional 3D printer for so little money but I figured since I was purchasing through Amazon, worst case I could get my money back. I was pleasently surprised to find that the ThreeUp is not only a good little printer but it was better than a lot of printers that I had used previously by leaps and bounds. The accuracy and repeatability per layer were what really impressed me. The only thing I changed were the retraction settings to reduce stringing a little bit but that was it. Since it comes with an E3D hot end, you know its reliable and it uses the industry standard RAMPS board for control so the whole thing is very moddable. I am very happy with my purchase.

This printer is terrible quality, and will most likely be missing parts ...
DO NOT BUY. This printer is terrible quality, and will most likely be missing parts when it arrives. The customer service is one of the worst I have encountered. They don't email you back for 2 to 3 weeks, and they will ask,"what seems to be the problem?" You'll never hear from them again. The instructions were horrible. especially when it came to the electronics. If I had to recommend a better printer I would highly recommend the wanhao i3. Link here: https://www.amazon.com/Wanhao-i3-V2-Duplicator/dp/B01CGB8LA6 . I realize it may be more, but its a very high quality printer with amazing service. I hope this helps.

Redneck engineering at it's worst. And I am a lifelong redneck tinkerer
I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I saw the y-axis rods are held in place by nylon zip ties. Redneck engineering strikes again. They will work out and fall, the print head will hit the x-axis and there goes your money. If you are a really good tinkerer and buy some extra parts to build a 3-d printer, this could be used as a starting point, but you can can get better quality printers and not have to figure out how to force it to work and stay together or buy extra parts just to get it to stay in one piece. I wonder about the power supply. They don't even quote how many amps it will give. Perhaps they don't know if they think zip ties are the way to hold an axis of a machine in place.

Great entry level 3D printer
I owned a Printrbot play and was looking for something a bit higher performance. Even though this isn't made of metal it is very rigid and I was able to immediately get better results out of it then I did out of the play. I'm sure it was partly due to the great E3D hotend that is included and the durable extruder. There are also a lot of very nice quality parts like an ACME screw for Z instead of Vthread that really set this kit apart. It is well worth the effort to put together and I highly recommend it.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ignored some of the low rating reviews when I bought this, biggest mistake I've made in a while. I can't even begin to explain what a poor product this is. Parts don't fit, parts are missing, manual is different revision than current product, manual only covers build of unit, not operation. Not one single successful print, no support hotline, customer support email took 5 days to respond each time. My poor son was so excited Christmas day and three weeks later we just gave up and returned it. I wish I could give it zero stars.
