I set these next to my digital home thermostat to see how accurate the temp was. They both were within a couple degrees. I also found out that each gauge has a calibration control built in. Using a 1/8" screw driver I adjusted them to read true. I then mounted them to the walls of my motorhome with small screws near the front and rear AC thermostats to monitor temp and humidity. Humidity is a critical factor in controlling mold and mildew inside boats and RV. I monitor the percent humidity in my motorhome to monitor any roof leaks and prevent detrimental moisture. If you see condensate on insides of windows, you know you have water problems. These gauges can help monitor moisture. I try to be sure levels inside stay below outside ranges so air inside stays fresh.

I bought the 2 pack because it didn't cost much more, and I assumed I would get one that was accurate. They're not dead on, but within the stated range of variation. (+/-) With the two I got, one has accurate temp, but humidity is off by about 5%. The other, the humidity is accurate, but temp is off by a couple of degrees. I expected to trade a bit of accuracy for the durability of analog vs digital. Overall pleased with the value, and it's accurate enough for my application.Update: I had been using the one with an accurate temp reading, and stored the one with accurate humidity. I pulled out the one with accurate humidity after a few weeks, and it matched the temperature of the other. So, one is absolutely accurate, the other, the humidity is off by a couple percent. I let them "settle" or self calibrate after shipping, but still initially got a noticeable variance. Now, they're as accurate as can be expected for a low priced analog instrument. I went from moderately pleased, to very happy with my purchase.

They do work. The thermometers seem to be calibrated just fine giving accurate readings. The hygrometers both read a little high but are within the tolerance given in the listing. They will give a good idea of the humidity level in the area they are placed.I have to that I like the colors used as the gauges are high visibility. If you like analog gauges, these are pretty good.

It is stated in the literature that arrived with the thermometer that the accuracy is within 5 degrees. I would not have ordered it, if that info had been shown in the description on your website. I was looking for something more exact. The price seemed good, but since it doesn’t work like I wanted, it is useless to me. I’m not requesting a replacement, since it was so inexpensive.

I bought these as a set of two. Side by side in exactly the same area, they don't agree with each other. They seem to be good for giving you an idea of the temp, but they suck at giving you the actual temperature!
