Glass is superior to plastic in so many ways for so many reasons.
I love pyrex storage containers. Glass is superior to plastic in so many ways for so many reasons. Oven, microwave, frig, freezer safe. Of course, don't heat the lid. Don't even put in the dishwasher, as it will loosen the fit. I have all three main sizes in the rectangle and round shape. The rectangle ones are great because they fit in the frig so well, straight edges of container to straight edges of frig. And they stack wonderfully. I stack them two or three high often. I often use the round ones as a eating dish, but also use them for storage in the frig or freezer also. I have gotten many unexpected compliments on my frig because of them. People admire how organized my frig looks. I love the ease of use and connivence. They are built to last, though they can break. They are not invincible. I accidentally broke one by putting cold liquid in it when it was hot. And of course it can break if you drop it at the wrong angle. But they are sturdy and can handle a lot of rough handling. They do leak if you tilt them, but are there really leak proof containers out there? And if they exist how much to they cost and how hard are they to open and close? Just be careful when handling if there is a lot of liquid in the container. When I travel with them, which I have for years, taking my lunch or dinner on the road with me, I wrap them in two gallon ziplock bags. I put the container in the first bag Then turn it around and put the wrapped container in another bag, with open end of bag on opposite sides. That way if it leaks into the first bag, the second bag catches the leaks. I don't ziplock either bag. Sometimes, I'll even put a cloth napkin around the container before they go into the bags. But I've also learned to cook and pack "dryer" foods in the pyrex and carry liquids in tight screw tight jars that I save from products I buy. Like pint size Adams peanut butter jars. They are excellent for storing liquids. But I digress. They do cost more money then plastic and are heavier, but if you can afford them, they are the better choice.

Great quality and fit lots of food in each container
Im very happy with this purchase. They are large containers so a proper lunchbox might be necessary to fit it in. They are superior to the plastic counterparts and cleaning them is a breeze. I like to keep things that hold my food clean, so I like that it cleans better than plastic as well. They're also microwave safe which is a plus too! Thick glass makes for a quality product from Pyrex.

Heavy duty
Nest nicely together. Heavy. Washes easily. No rim which makes it harder to lift or use.
