Quick disconnect garden hose fittings can be used to quickly connect or disconnect garden hoses from other hoses or the spigot. One side has Male garden hose thread the other side has female garden hose thread. The no stop version will allow un-obstructed flow. The fitting with a stop will prevent water from flowing through when the fitting is dethatched.

I cut my finger on the threads, AND the connection is not always QUICK.
This item would have gotten 5 stars, except I cut my finger on the threads, as I was trying to turn and separate the two components of this unit apart. The threads needed to be buffed out (removing the dangerous sharp edges) before it leaves the factory! As a diabetic, I cannot have a chance of infection, and tended to the cut right away - no real harm done,...BUT this is the only reason I did not give 5 stars to this item.I subsequently have removed the sharpness with 1200 grit AUTO BODY SANDPAPER and an SOS pad (turning the unit about 50 - 100 times inside of the SOS pad). and I didn't realize it at first, but the female has two moving parts, which are spring-loaded. That's why I couldn't pull them apart. You have to pull the collar back.Speaking of pulling the collar back, the 2nd one of these I bought (Yes, I like them) the male end required tremendous pressure to insert fully, even with no water pressure. The stainless steel idea is great, but these are not FULLY given the tests they should in the quality control department, at the factory. I should not have to struggle to insert the male end into the female end; this problem makes the process NOT SO QUICK! There's a washer or rubber bushing inside the female end which nearly prevents the male end from going in all the way. I have since put the male end on my drill, using a drilling jig, in order to spin a tiny bit more off the corner of the male end. If you do this too much, you ruin the seal,

Quick Disconnect Compatibility.
So, Amazon won't let you answer your own question, so I am writing this review to answer it. I asked if this is compatible with typical home brewing quick disconnects. So far, in my testing, the answer is yes and no. The female ends appear to work fine with the typical home brewing stainless steel quick disconnects. I haven't pressure tested them, but dry fitting appears to create a good seal. However, the male ends, while very similar to home brewing quick disconnects, are slightly shorter and I am not able to get them to fully close with my current QDs. Luckily, these are less useful in my application. You may be able to get them to work with some food grade lubricant, but I did not test this.I have included two photos. The first displays what this quick disconnect looks like disassembled along side a stand male NPT QD for comparison. The second shows the female end of this QD working with a male 1/2" NPT QD.I'll update this review once I have had a chance to pressure test this configuration.

Leaking and Quick Connect Sleeve Issues
I've purchased 2 of these (one in early 2019 and one a month ago) and really wanted to like them. The first one I received in 2019 had issues with the plug fitting and the coupler would leak water despite teflon taping and torquing it down. Duda was quick to help and send me a new one so I do praise their customer service and standing by their product. The 2nd unit I received worked without issues up until last week. It started having problems with the quick disconnect collar that you pull back to insert the plug. When pulling it back, it would get stuck and you'd have to put some force into pulling it back in place to lock the plug and the bearings inside started seizing. I bought another unit to replace it a couple days ago and I just received it recently. This unit has the same issue where the collar locks up right out of the box. I use quick connects all over my setup, and the Duda GHT connects have given me more grief than all the others. I really like their build and feel which is why I've given them so many chances but I might have to move on to another brand.

Wanted to really love this product but it leaks a bit
Wanted to really love this product but it leaks a bit. Hard to find a flow through quick disconnect and thought this stainless steel version might be perfect for my needs. However, right after hooking it up to the hose and nozzle, I noticed it "seeps" water on the ground when the water is on the the hose is just laying on the ground.UPDATE: After using this connector for about 2 months, I noticed that the leaking has stopped. So for that reason I added 1 star to the review, but can't give it 5 stars as it did seep at first.

Very tight connection - okay if you like that, but not so much if you can't manage it...
Very well made, but to VERY tight tolerances on the mating parts. If it were just a BIT less tight, I'd have given it 5 stars. It's not every day you want a bit less precision in machined parts - but this really is manufactured to near aircraft-grade standards. Not easily connected or disconnected, but that thing ain't gonna leak once you get them together!

NOT NPT COMPATIBLE!!!
Really deserves five stars however, i bought this without the knowledge that GHT was a thread pitch of its own and not compatible with NPT at all. In fact GHT only has one size....3/4". Had to buy a 3/4 GHT to NPT adapter.

Kinda cheap
Very cheap design. Have a feeling the balls for the lock will eventually fall out because the collar slides down pretty far. So when the collar gets wore a bit.....o ring seems to be pretty tight so it might not leak. Well see but first impression is pretty poor.

Well Made
These quick disconnects are stainless so they don't rust. They fit snug and don't leak. They work as advertized.
