May as well wash your clothes in water!
My husband and I use Tide but its expensive so we wanted to try something cheaper and effective. A cousin of ours used Ariel (another Mexican washing powder,) however, At the time we couldn't contact her to find out the exact name so we decided to try what was at our local store FOCA.First of all, this washing powder has NO SCENT! Some people may feel that is fine and it wasn't a big deal to me until I dried my clothes and they smelled EXACTLY the way they smelled going into the washing machine! My 2 year old's underwear went in the wash smelling like POOP and came out smelling like POOP! My husband wore a shirt to work that he washed in FOCA and he said when he started sweating the shirt smelled straight up stank! And it wasn't his sweat! He had washed the shirt in FOCA and dried it that morning. The directions say use one cup for large loads and that's what he did. When they came out not clean and still smelly, I washed a second load using 2 cups. Guess what? Still STANK!If someone out there feels that this laundry detergent does the job please let me know what we are doing wrong because I really wanted this to work! One more thing, My husband washed his clothes in cold water. He does this because he doesn't want the colors running. I told him that maybe he should have washed them in warm water and the detergent would have been more effective but he stated that with Tide he uses cold water and stains come out just fine and he only has to use one cup of Tide not two. To prove him wrong I washed a third load in warm water using two cups of the Foca. And guess what? THEY WERE STILL DIRTY AND STANK!We are going to add something to the remaining Foca that we have left and use it up! We finally got in touch with our cousin and we are going to try the Ariel Mexican washing powder. If it doesn't work...back to TIDE!
