So far with my expirience using this on an OG Saturn. It works really well!! I was suprised at how responsive it is

I love these controllers. They work great, look as good as the original model 2 pads, and I've had zero issues with the 3 I now own. One thing I'd LOVE to see though is a grey/blue one to match the original Japanese Model 1 Saturn that I own. Retrobit seem to have done all the other colours - white, black, clear to match the 'this is cool' system, and a clear blue one, which matches the Mega Drive 6 button controller. If anyone from Retrobit reads this, PLEASE do a grey/blue and I will happily buy yet another lol.

The molds may be the Saturn originals but the plastic used in them could be thicker. Otherwise, very few complaints. This is the classic (and in my opinion, best looking) Japanese Saturn controller with much-appreciated wireless functionality and a couple extra buttons. Works splendidly on PC with all the buttons you'd hope for from a retro pad, but surprised me with how well it works for the Switch too. It's still plug-and-play and works splendidly for D-pad-favoured games with all the buttons you'd hope for, but it's also got the ability to swap the pad to a left or right analog stick interpret, meaning you're not out of luck for D-pad-forward games that occasionally require a stick input or if you truly want to use a D-pad to play modern 3D games.As a longtime Sega fan, the only way I could be happier would be if it was made of sturdier plastic. It's quite light and the shoulder buttons especially feel a little unsatisfying.

It's a really good controller for the price. It includes both the Saturn adapter and a USB adapter.The build quality is almost identical to the OEM one that shipped with my Saturn, and it has a very similar feel regarding buttons. It is nicely packaged in a nice little case, so you won't misplace the other dongle.So if it's that good, why didn't I give it 5 stars? Firstly, the buttons... didn't I say I was good? No, it's almost identical to the OEM one. That said, I much prefer the feel of the 8Bitdo M30 controller.Secondly, it charges using a Micro-USB port. A while back, it should have had a factory refresh to update it to the more widely accepted USB-C standard. This was not mentioned anywhere on the product page.So, if you want an authentic Saturn experience without the hassle of a cable, these are very well-priced and great value. (Or have it as a Player 2 controller)

Mine would not pair in 2.5GHz mode when using my Sega Saturn. I didn't try the USB dongle as I already have USB PC controllers. Felt great in the hands and was packaged well but I needed a functioning controller not a display piece.

This is one of two versions, the other comes in classic black, and this version feels much higher quality. The plastic feels more durable, the buttons have a tactile snap to them, and the responsiveness of the controller is noticeably better than the previous version. Highly recommend for retro gaming, especially fighting games.

I’m and avid retro gaming collector and never thought repro’s could hold any weight to the original both presentation and performance… Until Now! When retrobit announced this controller I was excited and entered a giveaway but didn’t win. I’m a big fan of this color because it was the original Japan variant and when I saw they released it I was curious and had high standards and expectations. It did not disappoint the quality of the controller is on par with the original. The buttons are responsive especially the Dpad which makes it easier for me to perform my skills when playing Virtua Fighters or King of Fighters. The two receivers are a nice tough and I experienced hardly any lag or latency, I don’t do Bluetooth controllers just because for wireless I’m more of a purist and prefer 2.4 ghz. Great way to play my large Saturn collection wirelessly.

It works. It does what it's supposed to, it connects and pairs fine, and I can't give it less than three stars if it actually works.... but the quality just isn't there. Not forty dollars worth. For $25, five stars. For $30, four stars. But for $40? Holding this in one hand and an original Saturn controller in the other, the original feels noticeably higher quality, and when the original is three decades old, there's a problem here. The d pad somehow flops around and the buttons rattle, and the whole thing feels like a McDonald's toy in your hands. When Retrofighters and 8bitdo are putting out controllers that feel like a million bucks, there's a problem here. When a brand new item feels worse than a worn in thirty year old one... yeah, problem.And USB micro B charging? For real? Never thought I'd have to pull one of those cables out again, a decade after USB C became the norm.
