Such an upgrade from a regular leash! The handles are padded so they're very comfortable to hold (very nice with a puppy that's still learning not to pull) and I love that there are 2 additional traffic handles to manage on busy streets. Altogether, it makes walking my pup a less frustrating, more enjoyable experience! The entire leash feels very high quality and sturdy so I'm optimistic about its durability! I'm a big fan of this leash and highly recommend! Planning to return to this brand when we need a replacement!

We adopted a second dog, and he's kind of a handful. He came from a bad situation, so he is scared of almost everything. (The other day, he was sleeping in my office and then suddenly started growling and barking at a piece of paper that was blowing in the breeze from the ceiling fan. And he barks at his reflection in glass. He's just super jumpy right now.) This makes walks super fun :-\ We use a flexi-leash with our other dog because he's more calm and easy to reel in when needed, but needed something different for this second dog.Whenever people ride by on bikes, or there are kids running by, or there's a shadow, he wants to run up and bark. So I knew I needed something to help me easily pull him closer. The handle on his harness was nice, but when you're 4-6 feet away [length of the leash] and he's a squirrelly little 9-lb ball of energy, it's hard to grab him, especially if you have short t-rex arms like I do. I figured I'd have the same problem with leashes that have only a second handle down near the dog. And, I noticed that the short handle is often very short, because those leashes are often sized for big dogs that are much taller than a 9-lb spastic little dog.I searched and searched and searched. And I found this, with THREE handles! Freaking magnificent. I ordered it, because basically there were no other satisfactory options :) I was worried I'd hate it, b/c I worry about things and b/c I had no other options I liked. But I am definitely happy with it!The handles are all kind of padded. Not so padded as to be too thick and hard to grab, but not rope-feeling. They just feel nice. I have small hands and short fingers, but I have no problem keeping a good grip on this (even while holding my other dog's flexi-leash handle). The leash itself feels sturdily built, but is not heavy in terms of actual weight like many leashes are. And it's nice and flexible, not super stiff. Our previous 'normal' leash that we were using was only 4' and felt much heavier and stiffer, but no more secure than this one. I was worried that with the extra length and handles, it would be heavy and stiff and uncomfortable, but I'm really pleased with the feel of this leash. And it's wide, which at first I felt meh about, but it seems like it's easier for my dog to untangle himself whenever he accidentally steps across the leash. He doesn't seem to mind this leash at all.The longest 6' handle is a nice length to let him sniff around and explore a bit and find a suitable bathroom spot. The medium length is fairly easy to grab even with my short arms and clumsy nature -- I just pull back on the longest handle and reach forward with my other hand, and I can grab it. It's nice for when there are cars nearby and I need to make extra sure he doesn't get excited stray off the path. Sometimes I walk holding both handles (one in each hand...while holding my other dog's leash in one hand too) for extra control and training. And the shortest handle is easy to grab once you have the medium handle in your hand. And it's not too short! I can hold him by the shortest handle, and he can still have all his feet on the ground without straining. It keeps him right at my side (good for calming him or getting full control, or for when I need to pick him up and shield his face from a situation). Also, the extra handles don't flop around or add awkward weight in weird places or get in the way when you're not using them.There's also a D-ring (you can see it in the main pics), which is nice. I got the "Urban Pets Hands Free Dog Poop Bag Holder" [https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01BA4496A/] to clip on, so I wouldn't have to carry 2 leashes and 2 bags of poop. (You could also clip an accessory bag onto it, or keys, or whatever, but we have a great accessory bag on the flexi-leash already.)I might get a second leash for our other dog, especially for use in the winter when I wear gloves. It seems like it'd be easier to hold onto two of these leashes (esp since you can loop them onto your arm) than holding onto the flexi-leash plus this. But that's just b/c I worry too much :)TLDR: Excellent leash, get it! Seriously just get it. Design, quality, and price are all excellent.

Love the three handles! Everything feels sturdy and comfortably padded. I have two Max & Neo sleeves labelling my deaf & adoptable foster dog and they fit very well between handles. I like the reflectiveness and high quality feel of the hardware. Thank you for also donating with purchases!

4.5 starsI have two dogs (55lb and 30lb) and I've been on the market for the perfect leash. I've tried Kong, Kurgo, and Ruffwear leashes--all failed in one aspect or another. This triple handle traffic dog leash by max and neo is as close to perfect as I've found.The primary handle allows freedom for the dog to roam. The middle handle offers better control of your dog. The traffic handle is the perfect length from the clip so as to not have to bend over to guide my dog across the street but still grants exceptional control when I need to keep my dogs close.Handles are lined with padded neoprene and the leash itself is made of a high quality, thick material with reflective detail for when you walk your dogs at night.The hardware is a standard and sturdy leash clasp made of metal coated in dark metallic paint. I 100% trust this clasp to perform it's duty.A feature that I truly love is the D-ring at the top handle that acts as a clip point for accessories--poop bags on a carabnier or whatever you need to clip on! It keeps accessories secure and manageable and IMO is now a must-have for any leash.I ordered a red and a pink leash and both colors are crisp and vibrant.All of this and then Max and Neo donates an identical item for each item that I purchase??? I'm am so pleased with this leash that I'm a lifelong customer for sure.There's always room for improvement, though, so one suggestion: the primary handle is a bit cramped for someone with bigger hands. Maybe make it just a bit larger.

The media could not be loaded.  We really like this leash. The handles are padded and comfortable to hold. You can tell that some serious engineering went into this product. From the distance of the handles to the stitching. It seems top notch.The leash has been dragged, yanked, and chewed; oh, and even used to walk our dogs. Really, it looks new with no signs of wear, bite marks or tears. In addition, the reflective threads sewn into the leash adds safety at night. I will update my review if I notice any changes in the durability of this item.My only suggestion is to make a somewhat narrower/lighter (3/4”) version for smaller dogsI also am proud of the fact that Max and Neo will make a donation on a one for one basis to a dog rescue due to my purchase. Great idea and would look at Max and Neo in the future for needed dog products.Pick yourself up one of these bad boys, it is worth it!

This leash is made very well, and the handles are perfect.

I love that there are three handles that allow you to bring the dog closer to you if necessary. They are also padded so they are comfortable on the wrist and hands. The hook is made of thick metal and there is a ring in the top loop/handle so you can hook your poo bag dispenser on. My pup was teething and managed to slowly chew through one of the leashes, so I had to buy a replacement, luckily he is no longer teething. The seam of the leash is reflective and good for night walks. I love that this company provides a free collar and leash to rescue dogs, this is how I found out about them, our puppy came with a free collar and leash.

My pup knows how much leeway to take at every level so she doesnt pull to “negotiate” to get less/more.

I never knew I needed the triple handle feature before I got this leash. The extra weight took some getting used to since I was using light nylon leashes before this, but it doesn't fray easily and is very well-made. It definitely helps that Max and Neo is one of the few animal companies that donate significantly to charities and every purchase helps shelter animals!

Use for our energetic husky lab mix who is very strong. Love the 3 handles that give different levels of control when needed. Does make it a bit heavier but for a bigger dog, it works great. Been using for 3 months so far and it’s been perfect. We have already ordered another colour!

I love this leash - the multiple handles are wonderful for navigating busy spaces like apartment hallways or downtown streets. The padding is very welcomed and makes a big difference to my comfort.Webbing does start to look worn rather quickly, and I wish the shortest handle was even shorter (more like a traffic lead length) for even more security in tight or dangerous spaces.
