Extremely pleased with the product.
I have had the product for two days (as of January 12, 2016) and so far it is exactly what I wanted. Any product like this is going to produce some noise but I am able to use it near the television without bothering those watching the television. My wife did turn up the volume a little but has not asked me to take it to the basement for use. If you have ever used a motorized treadmill and expecting the same with this you may be disappointed. Because it isn't motorized you supply the energy to move the treadmill. This extra required energy gives the effect of walking up a hill. To me this extra effort is a plus - I think it gives me a better workout. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble. Necessary tools come with the product. I'm 77 and fairly handy with tools. If you're not it will take a lot longer. The instructions were fair. I did refer to them but found that my spacial perception helped more than the instructions.I'm please with the product and can recommend it. It is for sale by a big name catalog company for about 90 dollars more. This is the same model they are offering.

which are good. The belt did require alignment
I would have given this treadmill a five star rating if it weren't for the fact that the trim piece at the bottom of it hadn't come damaged. The damaged piece in no way compromises the machine's function, so I decided not to worry about it. Still...................it should not have shipped with any damage.I was able to set the machine up in short order. The small wrenches included were adequate for the job. I don't think most people will have a problem if they follow the instructions, which are good. The belt did require alignment, and I was helped over the phone by a lady at the company. She was both friendly and knowledgeable. And we got my issue resolved in about five minutes. There was nowaiting on “hold.”This is a rugged, well designed machine—one that provides a viable option to the motorized treadmills. It doesn't “feel” like a motorized treadmill. Let's get that straight from the beginning. It's different in a way that I, personally, like. I would not in anyway prefer a motorized one.Know that I don't run on this machine. I'm not a runner. So I have no opinion on how a person might like or dislike it were it used for running.Besides a knob for adjusting resistance, there are adjustable feet for increasing or decreasing the incline. The electronics work just as they are supposed to. But they are an afterthought to me. After many years of training, I know my body. I intuitively know what kind of training effect I'm getting.I'm an ex “ironhead” who has switched to hard style Qi Gong for staying fit. My program is extremely demanding, and this treadmill supplements my regular training very nicely. Compared to a large, motorized treadmill, this one is portable. But it isn't something you are going to tuck under your arm and run with. It is a heavy duty item. Also be advised that it isn't silent in use; however, the noise isn't, by any means, excessive. In sum, this is a dandy machine that I expect to last for many years. Certainly the price is right. And I find it superior to its motorized counterparts.

Not for Sissies
Bought this treadmill as it fit required ceiling height in basement to use on days inclement weather preclude walking outside. However, it is hard to use as my walking provides the momentum. Didn't realize it would be so strenuous to use as compared to a motorized treadmill (which won't fit in the space). Also, it's not so easy to fold up when not in use.

Surprisingly pleased with this purchase
I was able to assemble it myself (one step would have been easier with 2 people but I managed by propping one side up) and it works perfectly. I adjusted the runner to be centered. Everything perfect. One plastic wheel was crushed in shipment and a phone call resulted in promptly receiving a new wheel. I have it on the middle notch for slope and it's not too hard and not too easy. I'm surprisingly pleased. I am 68 years old. I am not able to have an electric treadmaill because my mobile home does not have adequate amps for anymore electronic devices. I researched all the manual treadmills and read all reviews. This one cost about $100 more than others but I took the chance it would be more satisfactory, and it was a good bet.

Horrible!
Treadmill was VERY hard to use. I've had knee replacements and it was really really hard, but my husband hasn't had replacements and found it still hard to move. The belt would not stay aligned even after adjustments according to instructions. I returned same, asked for return label, never received. I spent over $200 returning this item! Then FOGDOG refused to pay that bill, said they would refund my $$, then extend the reimbursement time. Amazon was terrific. They refunded shipping and had to reimburse me my product refund because FOGDOG kept delaying same. Kudos to Amazon.

If you are not in the best shape, the incline can be difficult
Treadmill Belt sticks and does not move freely. even after dosing the belt with silicone spray. Also, If you are not in the best shape, the incline can be difficult. Would not recommend this product to anyone.

and moving back center is not easy to do
Belt has a tendency to drift to the left, and moving back center is not easy to do. The packaging could use some work as the first one we got all of the magnets where loose and the bezel on that side sheered off. Overall it is light weight easy to put anywhere and don't have to worry about finding an outlet.

My wife has ms stage 3 this treadmill was perfect for her with the magnetic brake adjustment
My wife ms made it hard to find a affordable treadmill she could use she needed a tread mill that could slow way down for a handicap person the magnetic brakes adjustment was perfect and the fact that you can almost level the treadmill flat with barely a angle for her ankles was a needed plus
