Q: Which is quieter, the bedroom machine or the healthmate plus machine?

They are both equally quiet. However the bedroom machine is our most comprehensive air purifier with a 5th stage of filtration, it was developed to improve sleep, and to effectively filters sub-micron particles, gases, odors and VOCs. This Bedroom Machine is not as effective at filtering VOCs as the HealthMate+. However it can still make quite a difference. If you have any other questions, please contact us!

Great question. The Bedroom Machine model includes the most intensive filtering that Austin Air offers amongst all its models. It has a 5-stage filter that effectively captures gasses and particles at the nano size level. It's filtering process combines the technology of 15 lbs of a special carbon mixture, a military grade carbon cloth, and a medical grade HEPA (high-efficiency particulate arrestance) filter. It is designed to meet the needs to those with special health concerns. That being said, we actually recommend the HealthMate unit (a less expensive model) for most people that do not have severe or extremely particular health concerns. It does a great job with a HEPA filter and the effective carbon/zeolite mixture.
