...if you have big and/or heavy items!! We just bought our first home and after taking on a mortgage, we wanted to save a few hundred bucks by doing a self-move. First off, if you have the extra $, *seriously consider* hiring some pro movers. It will go sooo much faster and easier if you have some pros do it, and you'll save yourself the aches and pains of tired muscles, not to mention the grumpiness that will take over after you've packed and unpacked a moving truck. If it's truly not an option to hire movers, then get this kit. It really does work if you have two people who can communicate ("ready, set, lift" will be your script). We lifted a solid pine armoire that stands about 6.5' tall, a front loading washer that was the weight of a baby elephant, the matching dryer, a TV stand that holds a 60" tv, a dining hutch, and a 8-drawer chest. It paid for itself after the armoire. We saw these straps at work when we had pro movers for our out-of-state move, and could see how it made easy work of big and bulky furniture. If you're not familiar with how this kit works, make sure to watch a video or read the included instructions because safety is not a joke. And because wrecking your own stuff will only add to the grumpiness. The straps were loose on me (5'6", 140lbs) and snug on the hubby (6'4", 250ish) but that didn't reduce the effectiveness AT ALL. Make sure the strap is secured tightly on both ends, then "ready, set, lift". Oh yeah, get yourself some good work gloves while you're shopping for moving stuff. You'll have better grip and save your hands from gashes or sharp corners. Hey, you've been warned...I don't recommend moving yourself but if you must, I highly recommend this product.This is a 100% legit, verified review and I paid for this item with my own hard-earned $.

This product was good to help move large heavy items, but you have to practically kneel on the ground to tighten the strap when lifting. I had two men who were different heights and it became an issue. They said it was awesome for moving the couch and a few other items. But overall because of the height difference, they prefer to just carry the items without using the straps. It was definitely worth the money and we will use it again in the future for moving other items in the household.

Straps do not adjust to fit different body's sizes, the cargo strap meant to go between the two people is very thin and does not support the cargo well.

People are amazed when they try this out! My neighbors all want them now. My 100 pound wife or 80 pound daughter have helped me lift crazy heavy and awkward items. We've used these to lift a hot tub from the street all the way into the back yard, a super heavy long commercial elliptical exercise machine UP STAIRS, a stove, and even a giant new side by side fridge!!! I will admit that fridge was still darn heavy. Everything would have been impossible if it weren't for these straps. Items that took only my wife and I to life would have taken 4 guys to lift. The hot tub is rounded and didn't offer many places to grip onto but no problem for these straps. The fridge is crazy heavy and to get under it to lift it up you would have to start with your fingers on the floor and you'd be too close to the fridge to bend your knees and the sharp metal would dig into your fingers so really even with 6 guys i don't think we could have lifted it without the straps. Oh and if you're thinking why didn't you just roll the fridge... well we just installed beautiful new wood flooring and there is a bunch of chipped up grout that got under the fridge and if a piece of grout or tile got stuck under the wheel while we we rolling it then it would leave a long scratch on the floor so we didn't want to risk it.

If each person is different height it does not work well . Too much adjusting

We ordered this to help move some solid oak furniture while redoing a room. The main culprit was a tall 6 drawer dresser. Putting these on and following the directions made moving this furniture a breeze! My husband and I — he is 6 foot and I am 5’2” were able to move the furniture like it was a simple coffee table! Highly recommend!!

This was an awesome purchase, and one of the best I've made. I was a little worried the single strap wouldn't be sufficient to stabilize the item, but was surprised it did such a good job when lifting. I had to move a 3 door Brimnes wardrobe from ikea that previously took a moving crew to move. This time, it was just me and a buddy and we got it moved no problem. The single strap made it a little wobbly but I don't think it would have been any better using dual straps from other models. It also made moving a mattress and box spring really easy. I'll be keeping this for years to come and suggesting it to everyone I know. A really good deal and worth every penny.
