Good stuff
**Starbond 2 Ounce Medium CA Glue Review****Price and Value:**The Starbond 2 ounce medium CA glue is a bit pricier than some other options out there, but I believe it's worth the extra cost. It offers great quality and reliability, making it a solid investment for those who need a dependable adhesive.**Cap Design:**One of the standout features of this glue in my opinion is its cap design. Unlike many other glues, this one doesn’t end up gluing its own cap shut, which is a huge plus. It saves a lot of hassle and keeps the glue usable for longer. That being said, CA glu's always glue themselves shut eventually, so always buy the smallest amount you can get away with.**Pouring Spouts:**The extra thin pouring spouts are fantastic for precise applications. They are single-use, so I reserve them for tasks where precision is important. They work wonderfully when needed.**General Use and Performance:**This medium thickness glue is perfect for everyday use. It handles plastics really well, so you don't always need the super thin options. I haven't tried the light or heavy versions, but the medium one serves as a great all-purpose glue. It's especially handy for fixing toys and other household items.**Strength and Comparison:**I haven't noticed a big difference in strength between high-quality and low-quality CA glues, but Starbond stands out for its overall quality and ease of use. It’s a reliable choice for anyone with regular gluing needs.**Notes about applications**I like to use baking soda for 2 reasons, 1) to accelerate the drying speed, and 2) To enhance the volume of glue that can be applied, often making it stronger. If you don't know about it, give it a shot, I find it really helpful, and I use this glue with baking soda almost exclusively. The baking soda trick does make the glue bond really messy and ugly looking, so if you care about a final look, you won't want to use it. For practical repairs, or hidden repairs, I use baking soda all the time.

Good for cosplay
Used this for my cosplay to glue together Eva foam and worked well. It dried relatively fast and had a good bond. Will be purchasing again.

A notch above the common superglue you can buy at a store
High purity, high adhesion superglue. works well with accelerator. The medium grade is a bit harder to work with than the thin. The purity does make a difference. I get better results when using an accelerator spray with theis, usually I pray the accelerator on one piece and put glue on the other part, or hold the pieces together and spray the accelerator to "fix" the pieces together, until the bond fully sets.I had good luck permanently fix broken china and doing similar household repairs. One thing I hate about buying these larger bottles: I have to buy the larger amount to get a good price. The larger amount tends to harden in the bottle, or plug up the dispenser cap. The latter problem can be remedied a few times by drilling through, or punching through the hardened plug, but I always end up throwing away at least half of the glue in the bottle because of these problems. So I wonder if the large quantity is really such a good deal after all. The bottle cap (dispenser or other) always ends up getting glued to the bottle so over time it becomes un-removable.An idea for an improvement: I wish there was a way to make the bottle caps out of some material that does not bond with superglue?

Great glue.
I use this to glue PLA together. It hasn’t failed me yet. The bond is amazing for my uses.

Starbond 2 oz. Medium CA Glue – A Reliable, Versatile Adhesive for Laser Projects
Starbond 2 oz. Medium CA Glue – A Reliable, Versatile Adhesive for Laser Projects and MoreAs someone who runs a laser engraving and custom design business, finding the right adhesive that can handle everything from delicate wood pieces to more robust materials is crucial. After trying a few options, Starbond 2 oz. Medium CA Glue has quickly become my go-to adhesive for a wide range of projects. It’s strong, easy to work with, and offers that perfect balance between quick drying and workability—especially important when assembling intricate laser-cut designs.Performance & Versatility• Medium Viscosity: The glue strikes the perfect balance between thin and thick CA glues. It flows easily into joints without running everywhere, making it ideal for wood, acrylic, leather, and even metal accents in my laser projects. It’s also great for filling small gaps in wood pieces before finishing.• Strong Bonding Power: Once cured, the bond is incredibly strong and durable. I’ve used it to assemble laser-cut wooden boxes, custom signage, and layered pieces, and the joints hold up beautifully—even under light stress.• Quick Curing Time: The drying time hits a sweet spot—usually around 20-30 seconds—giving me enough time to position pieces correctly but not so long that it slows down production. I pair it with a CA glue accelerator when I need an instant set, especially on high-volume days.Ease of Use• Precision Tip: The included nozzle makes it easy to apply just the right amount, even on intricate laser-cut patterns. Plus, the extra applicator tips and cap ensure the bottle stays clean and doesn’t clog up over time.• Minimal Mess: Unlike some other CA glues I’ve tried, Starbond stays where you put it and doesn’t run or drip, which is crucial when working with detailed designs that require precision.Perfect For Laser Engraving Projects• Wood Assembly: Works great for bonding laser-cut wooden parts, from intricate ornaments to multi-layered signs.• Acrylic & Mixed Media: I’ve used it to adhere acrylic details to wood bases, and the bond holds strong without clouding the acrylic.• Finishing Touches: It’s also ideal for securing small decorative elements like custom-cut letters or logos.Pros:• Perfect medium viscosity for a wide range of materials• Strong, durable bond—great for laser-cut wood, acrylic, and more• Quick curing time without sacrificing repositioning time• Precision applicator with extra tips to avoid clogs• Works with CA glue accelerator for instant settingCons:• Bottle tip can clog over time if not cleaned properly (though the extra tips help)• Strong fumes—make sure to use it in a well-ventilated area• Not ideal for materials that require flexible bondingFinal ThoughtsThe Starbond 2 oz. Medium CA Glue has become a staple in my laser engraving toolkit. It’s versatile enough for a wide range of materials, easy to work with, and offers a strong bond that holds up over time. Whether I’m assembling custom laser-cut boxes or layering intricate mixed-media designs, this glue gets the job done efficiently and cleanly.Pro Tip: Use it with a CA glue accelerator to speed up drying when working on high-volume orders—it’s a game-changer for production! If you’re in the laser engraving or custom design space and need a reliable adhesive that balances precision and strength, Starbond Medium CA Glue is an absolute must-have.
