I've always been a Nancy Halvorsen fan and this book rates right up there, with her others. (She's a very nice lady. I've gotten to meet her in person, a few times, when I lived in Utah.) Her instructions are always well written and the photos in her book are just superb.In this book, of her's, she created a beautiful set of numbers, letters, and small "wall/table top" quilts. Each represent a different time of the year. All the months are covered, with some added ideas for "other" events. Her designs all have her signature style, that I personal like. (Some people many not, but that is the joy of creation and design.)The ideas of creating one "standard" set of numbers and making them last all year long, or make new numbers for each time of the year is all up to you. In my personal "stash" of fabric, I will probably make a few sets to give myself excuses to buy more fabric.The instructions make these ideas come out of your head and on to fabric. (You can also use her designs in other "crafting media.)To me, anyway that you look at it this book is a win win.

I have enjoyed all the books in this series that I own. They have lots of varying projects and can be used multiple times. I always find projects to make, not only for myself, but as gifts as well. There are lots of small projects that can be made quickly.

I'm familiar with Nancy Halvorsen's work, and this book does not disappoint. All the patterns are easy to understand and come together quickly. I really enjoy using her patterns and would recommend this book for beginners with an understanding of applique, and for experienced quilters who enjoy cute and fast patterns.

This book is excellent. The blocks are easy and fun to make. The book arrived in excellent condition and on time. I highly recommend this book for quilters who want something fun and easy as well as useful.
