Coolibar UPF 50+ Men's Women's Landon Reversible Bucket Hat - Sun Protective

Never thought I could fall in love with a simple HAT, but it has happened!. Soft Comfortable Material.. Pack-able... Wide & somewhat Shapeable Brim provide plenty of Sun Shade. Very difficult-to-find 2XL size not offered in other hats, even fits my gigantic head! I use at beach in S. Cal... The elastic band holds hat secure, even in 20 MPH winds! A great beach hat! Shipping took 8 days, not great, but at least it was free.

I like the hat, but I don't know if it's giving me the protection stated in the description. I know I purchased the hat a while ago, but I just moved to Arizona and have taken sun protection very seriously.The reason for this review now is that Coolibar refused to publish my review on their website after speaking to their customer service, then writing a review that was not acceptable to them. Live in sunny and hot Dallas. Sweat a lot doing yard work. Can soak brim and bill of three baseball caps in one mowing. Used this hat on last mowing and brim inside barely damp wher it contacts forehead skin. Wicks away moisture like crazy. It is lightweight, reversible, foldable, washable, drawstring to get an exact and comfortable fit, covers my face, neck, cheeks and ears, and thinly-haired scalp from burning. Very hi-tech if you read the company story and how each product is made, materials used, weave,impregnated threads etc. seemed pricy but got on sale. Got one for the wife of different style, but works for her. And, both hats pretty "cool" looking as our kids have said. Can't go wrong on the hats and all of Coolibars other clothing.

I own three Coolibar hats, and love the other two -- Matchplay gold hats. The latter are substantial hats with a fairly firm brim, that look very nice once adjusted. I bought this one largely because of the color options available. I was expecting a less substantial hat -- but I was quite surprised to receive a product that is flimsy as a hankie. The material is a decent synthetic cloth, and it has the Coolibar adjustable headband. But beyond that, this is like a hat you would pick up for a few dollars at a convenience store. If the Matchplay is worth 40 dollars, then this is worth 10 -- not 36 dollars.

I've been looking for a similar hat for a while now, but everything so far hasn't fit my head. I bought the XXL size and it fit perfect. My head is just a little too big for most XL or "One Size" hats, so I hadn't been able to find a similar style hat in any stores.I have had this for 2 weeks and have worn in to the Caribbean and out in the light rain during an all day tournament. It held up well in both conditions. I've washed it once and it cleaned away all the sea spray/beach grime without losing any water repellant characteristics. It is very thin, so it folds up and packs well. Also, it is light and cool during hot weather.I recommend to anyone trying to keep the sun off their head and face that has trouble finding hats that fit your dome.

I’m a sporty 67 yr old woman. I can’t wear one-size-fits-all because they’re always too big and they fly off my head unless I cinch them tight enough to give me a headache. I bought this s/m sized hat for my upcoming vacation because it packs flat, is reversible, washable and it fit my small head. I love this hat! The neutral colors are pleasing to the eye. It was so comfortable right out of the box I forgot it was on my head. I tested it on a walk in sunny San Diego. My head didn’t get hot, my face and neck were shaded and it stayed put without having a string cut into my head. I’m spoiled so I seldom rate anything as perfect unless it blows my mind which brings me to the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The brim isn’t quite stiff enough. It has a little wave to it and I have to situate the hat so the wave isn’t Over one of my eyes. Other than that it’s perfect.

I have gotten more compliments about this hat (beige side out) than probably any other article of clothing I have owned.I wear this hat pretty much every day that the sun is shining. I have added many UPF clothes to my wardrobe, but the Coolibar stuff is incredible, especially compared to what the big brands offer for UPF rated clothing.I initially bought the smaller version but it was way too tight. I wear fitted baseball caps 7-1/8 to 7-1/4 if that helps

First of all this hat looks great and is well made and it's adjustable and it fits really well. The thing is though that if the hat doesn't have actual vents, those tiny little holes do nothing, the fabric must be able to vent moisture which this hat doesn't do . At all. This hat holds in the heat and humidity. I took the hat out for a walk in the sun and after about fifteen minutes I took it off and the sweat that accumulated in the hat rolled down my face as if someone poured water on my head. I was quite surprised. I have never had that experience before with any hat I have owned and I own a lot of hats. Even a cotton hat will vent some moisture.Not good for me. If you live in a dry climate I guess it might be fine but here on the East Coast where we have humidity this hat just doesn't work. One of the reasons is that there are two layers of fabric there. I'm just going to slice open the inner fabric or maybe just remove it and see if that helps with ventilation. It's UPF 50 but it's not wearable.

Size L/XL seems very small on what is a regular size head. Totally lacking in shape when worn. For £30 poor value as superior products available at better price - in my opinion.
