I want to love this ladder and mostly I do. I love how portable it is and how it's pretty easy to use. I've never had any kind of accident with it, never gotten hurt in any way from it. I've used it many many times outside my house. However, it still scares me to death every time I use it because it feels flimsy, especially at the top and I'm always worried that it will, all of a sudden, collapse down while climbing it. I'm also always worried that my fingers will get smashed when closing it up/collapsing it even though it has a safety thing with hydraulics or something that keeps it from collapsing quickly. I love that the base is really wide. I feels very stable side to side however, the feet are rounded and a fairly stiff plastic so they don't grip smooth surfaces well. I would not trust this ladder on a smooth inside floor.

This made for a fun ladder to test out before coming to a decision on it. At first, it was a little wider than we had expected. Not over-wide, but as wide as a normal heavy-duty ladder. When you are looking at it in the (item) pictures, it looks as though it is more narrow than it really is (or maybe that was just us).Weight isn't bad at all. It's around 35lbs, which may sound a little bad to some, but really this is good for a ladder of this height. A balance between a good weight and not awkward to carry around like a normal metal or fiberglass ladder typically is. Comparing it to the "little" (name we likely can't mention per policies) ladders (which is the closest thing to compare this to in review), this one is less awkward to carry around as it very neatly/naturally tucks underneath your arm, making it easy to move around with it.The locking mechanism made us nervous at first, but it seems to hold just fine (and we definitely tested it out). We tested it for weight as much as a certain safety organization would suggest in the regulations that exist out there for ladder safety. It seems to hold up just fine.When extending it to its full height, you start from the top step, which seems pretty easy to do. When partially extending it (like you see in a few of the images we provided), you start from the lowest step. Since you start with all of the weight, it isn't as easy this way, but it is still quite doable.When collapsing it, it uses air to slowly bring each step down one at a time so you don't hurt yourself. Actually, pretty good ladder

Great quality, good ladder, love it, wish I had one years ago. Compared to a folding ladder...there is no comparison. The telescoping design is much better.I've bought a couple of telescoping ladders in different sizes and formed strong opinions. This WolfWise is quite nice. First, it's a legit 15.5 ft high. Most telescoping ladders misrepresent the height as 'max reach' vs. actual ladder height (my other so called 14ft telescoping ladder is only 10.5 ft high).If this is your first time buying a telescoping ladder, here's my quickie buyer's guide:1) Get one with air cushioned 'soft close' retraction. The ones that slam your fingers are no fun.2) Closure buttons/levers should be on the front of first step, not the bottom of the step (check the photos)3) Only one pair of closure buttons on the bottom step; not each step (life is too short to actuate each step)4) Make sure there are visual locking indicators on every step (trust me - this is important)5) Double-check the height. Most list the 'max reach' vs actual height. They lie.That's about all one can check when buying online. Once it arrives, a good ladder won't flex (much) when you climb high and the cheap ones bow badly. No way to tell from the marketing. I can say this WolfWise is very good quality, as is the COSCO SmartClose. I wouldn't be surprised of both didn't come from the same factory.

Having cathedral ceilings, I’ve often used a 16’ ladder to reach high area in my rooms to clean plant shelves or other odds and ends. It’s always a struggle maneuvering a heavy long ladder around furniture and through doorways, dodging ceiling fans, etc. This ladder was SO much easier to carry to the desired interior locations and set up. I purchased the 15.5 ladder, and felt safe on it. The included stabilizer bar addition did its job; I felt the ladder was stable and it’s rubber feet did not mar the floor. Given the height/width ratio, I might not have felt as confident w/o the stabilizer. I weigh just over 200lbs and felt the ladder was adequately sturdy to hold my weight plus tools, even with the proper, safe angle ratio ( ladder base 1’ out for every 4’ of rise). This also takes minimal storage room requirements.I’ve only used it a couple of times, but am happy with my purchase despite having 5 other ladders at my disposal. The convenience of being able to carry and store this at a minimal size along with the easy extension and take down makes this well worth the cost.
