Love the outcome of my vertical garden!
The Watex wall-mounted vertical growing kit makes for a lovely addition to your garden. It’s made of a metal grid like material that the pots attach to and “hang” onto. The pots are made of a plastic material. The manufacturer says it is recycled PVC and BPA compliant. There are 3 small pots, 2 medium pots, and one large pot. This is a great for a covered patio, or to add to your fence and makes for good potting for herbs. The irrigation system is okay, relatively efficient, but there was nothing to wow me about it. The drippers are made of plastic and there were some issues with one of them leaking and shooting water out in a not so drippy fashion. Of course this was the first dripper in the line so water pressure dropped because of it.To set this up the company gives you 32 ft of tubing - which is a lot of tubing. You cut the tubing where you want to place a dripper and use the excess tubing for hanging where the hose hooks up. If organized correctly this could be a very efficient set up. Unfortunately I didn’t have the “right” set-up for this irrigation set-up so I would have to hook up the hose separately each time to water it well. If I could place this in full sun I would have set this up so it was at the end of my soaker hose and ran the tubing so it hooked to the end. But that wasn’t an optimal place for this pretty vertical farming unit. So think about this before you set it up. You’ll also have to take into account the size of the plants you use in this, their growth, etc. because you don’t want to plant something that will be impacted by the pots on top of it.**** THIS IS AN OUTDOOR unit as well since the water drains out the bottom. You’ll need to allow it to drain somewhere.Overall, it’s a nice unit. I love the final look of it. The only issue is that I might not use the watering system often - but it can be very efficient if used properly.IMAGES & VIDEO SHOW:• The PVC at the bottom of the pots so the water doesn’t sit and let the roots rot. Nice touch.• The directions which aren’t that detailed. You have to use your noggin a bit because a lot of it is implied. Not to mention how you hook up the hose is kind of a “choose your own adventure” type of setup. In the directions it looks like you clamp them to the side with these plastic pieces that are included, but this doesn’t work.• The “dripper”• Finished product which I am very pleased with• Three images - close-up shot of small, medium, and large pots and what I potted int them.• Video shows the issue with the broken dripper

great wall garden kit
This is a terrific kit and easy to use. You get a weather-resistant metal frame that has three rows on which you hang the seven plastic containers -- three small, suitable for herbs; two medium, great for vegetables and one large, good for flowers -- or more veg.You get six screws and anchors to attach the metal frame to many kinds of surfaces, though you could also rig some hooks or other connectors depending on your situation. You also get drip tubing (1 gal/hr) that stretches along all the pots and a 1/4" drip faucet adapter. The pots are removable so you could bring them in in the winter and have herbs or flowers all year long. There is potting soil that is very light (or you can add vermiculite to soil to lighten it). That would make the whole unit lighter. The pots do drain so if they are indoors you should put something underneath. The pots attach and detach from the frame easily. If you admire green hanging gardens you will love this kit!

excellent quality
What a well made rack complete with pots. I love the look of wall gardens, and will be hanging this one up by our outdoor kitchen and fill it with herbs. But it's a hard choice as flowers look so pretty in them too! The rack seems to have an excellent coating on it sure to weather many years outdoors. I love the pots. They hang so easily - easy to remove if you want to water them in a sink or on the ground - which you may need to do depending where you hang this unit and if you put a piece of felt in the bottom of the pots. A little dirt can leak out, however it's so easy to take them off and rehang so it's not a bit deal for me. I'd rather do that than chance having to clean my wall. I think these look so nice hanging two together would make any outdoor space look great. I'm very pleased with the quality especially given the reasonable cost and ease of use. My husband doesn't anticipate any issues with hanging it up.

Amazing planter, subpar irrigation
This set of large metal hanging planters was exactly what I needed outside the door to my apartment. Living in the city, I don’t have many places to test out my green thumb, so this wall mounted option is ideal for me. So far I’ve planted some small mums (tis the season), rosemary, and thyme, and they’re all doing really well!Pros:Overall, this is a very manageable option for an herb garden and other small plants. I would advise against planting anything that will grow too big because it can start to look messy as the plants grow up from one level to the next. Installation was super easy, all it took was a few screws and the planters were exactly where they needed to be - 10 minutes tops. The finish on mine is a matte black that not only looks great, but feels extremely durable as well. No paint has chipped off yet and I don’t imagine it will. The drainage system is pretty good, enabling the soil to hold the right amount of water without drowning the plants. I will note that the pots do drip their dirty water right below the wall fixture, so keep in mind what you have below it.Cons:The irrigation system is kind of crappy, water drips everywhere. I just do it by handI didn’t find the irrigation system to be helpful at all. In my apartment setup, the nearest water source is meters away, making it a nuisance to set up. Even when I did get it up and running, the plastic hoses dripped water everywhere and made a bit of a mess. Despite troubleshooting it for fifteen minutes or so, I decided to throw the towel in. I just water the plants by hand instead.
