Way better than expected!
This had everything I was looking for in terms of specs, and the only thing that initially kept me from buying it was the fact that it is not necessarily a well-known brand. I love that the TB port for the computer is located in the back and that there is one available on the front, and if you're limited by processor and willing to install DisplayLink you can easily fix most of the gripes associated with M1 and M2 native external monitor support.I have an M1 Pro MacBook and am not using the built-in HDMI or DisplayPort. I decided to purchase an OWC Thunderbolt to dual DisplayPort adapter so that I'm only using up one of the TB4 ports (if you don't use the built-in display out ports you DO NOT need to install DisplayLink), and I still have 2 more available for whatever my future expansion needs become. The price and arrangement of ports (especially the rear located TB4 host port) are what caught my eye, and after wavering back and forth for several days, I decided to take a chance on UtechSmart. The truth is that I'm very glad that I did because I have had zero issues and the combination of features and value cannot be beaten (as of the time of this review, anyway).

Great performance for the money
I was skeptical at first with the build quality and stability of this docking station. However, the price was pretty good. Compareing to other more well known brand ones, its price is about $100 cheaper. I have mine hooked up to 3 monitors and a bunch USB devices. It is working very well so far. I'm working from home so I want something that can work with both Mac (work laptop) and Windows (personal) laptops. Surprisingly, it has been working flawlessly. I would recommend this product.

Works Great out of the Box - Good for Those with Those Famous Aluminum Computers
As I cannot mention any other product name when posting (Amazon's posting rules), for those of you reviewing, if you have one of those well know aluminum computers with a fruit as it's logo, then this is for you, and anyone else having to deal with USB-C ports. One significant issue with my computer, and the use of USB-C ports, is often 3rd party peripherals don't work. I'm happy to say, the UtechSmart does. Straight out of the box, it works. The build feels solid and it's light weight and has a great variety of ports for your needs, including:- Ethernet- (3) USB 3.0- (1) USB for a mouse- (1) SD Card Reader- (1) Micro SD Card Reader- (1) HDMI- (1) USB-CFor size comparison, in the photos, my computer is a 12". I've tried all the ports. First, was the SD Card readers; both worked great (NOTE; with the Micro SD, put the card in upside down. The standard SD Card goes right side up). I inserted older USB 1, in addition to, USB 2 and 3 thumb drives and all were recognized. I decided to load the SD, Micro SD, and the (3) USB 3.0 ports, no problems, and attached my power cor to the USB-C port, again all worked great and the computer charged.. The hub also comes with a nice gray storage bag. To those out there with computers with only (1) USB-C port (like mine), there are other hubs that connect directly to your USB-C port and snugs the hub on the side of your computer Yet, the problem with them, as I've tried several, is because there is only one port to connect on the side of the computer, it doesn't make it stable, and you run the risk of seriously damaging your USB-C port on your computer when removing drives or SD cards. I like this UtechSmart hub, where the hub is free from the computer, simply tethered via the USB-C port. I recommend the UtechSmart Hub. I'm really happy with it and using it fully now. Hope this helps.

Randomly disconnects and reconnects and quick charge does not work through this hub
Pretty compact and light with many ports to connect various accessories and devices. Just one feature I did not like, which is the slow charging when connected to my Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus with my quick charger plugged into the usb-c PD port on this hub. My other usb-c hub passes the quick charge right to my phone, not this hub unfortunately. The deal breaker for me is the repeated disconnecting and reconnecting of this usb-c hub, randomly after I connect and disconnect my quick charger from the hub. It also happens randomly after connecting and disconnecting my logitech wireless mouse receiver. Otherwise, if nothing's connected to it while I have it connected to my phone, there's no other error message on my notification bar. It works fine on my MS Surface Pro however. I have not connected anything else to this hub other than my wireless mouse and Samsung USB storage, while connected to my surface pro. Therefore I cannot comment on the HDMI, micro-sd/sd card, and the Ethernet port functionality.I will be returning it back to Amazon. I may repurchase and try a second one if I cannot find a different hub within the similar price range, since I like the build quality and the number of expansions available on this hub.

Almost perfect!
This thing solves so many problems for me and makes life way easier when switching between my personal and work laptops. I can literally swap my entire desk over with a single cable (plus my personal laptops power cable.Work Laptop HP Z Book (only has 2 conventional USB ports)Personal Laptop Asus G7 ROG edition (yes a full-on gaming rig that will outpace a lot of desktops!)List of devices I have attached to the dongleCorsair K68 keyboardCorsair DarkCore SE mouse (USB dongle attached to the mouse bads extra USB port)Corsaire M1000 mouse pad with wireless charging (yes the dongle powers the wireless charging port)Corsair Void Pro headset (dongle and charging cable)Second monitorFrequent use with SD cardsit also charges my work laptop and leaves the wireless charging pad on my mouse pad active even when the laptop is off or unplugged as long as you have a decent supply of power going into the dongle.my one and only gripe is the annoyingly short cable that it comes with (roughly 5 or 6 inches.)
