Q: In the sitting position, how high are the surfaces for the keyboard and the monitors? How is this desk for sitting?

The area for the keyboard is half an inch higher than your desk surface. The platform for the monitors is 3 and a half inches higher than that. My desk (without the Varidesk) has a keyboard tray that I use when sitting. When I stand, I use the Varidesk platform for my keyboard and mouse. The beauty of the Varidesk is that I can raise it to the height that best feels good to me. And when I'm tired of standing, it easily lowers so I can sit again for a while. I simply move my wireless keyboard and mouse back to the tray under my desk. If your chair is able to raise and lower, that may help with adjustments while sitting. I also have the mat (for standing) and a pillow that I use while sitting to raise my feet a little. I'm 5'8" tall. Hope this helps!

Q: From the stock picture i'm confused how this can fit two 24 inch screens? Anyone have this with that set up?

I have two 27 inch monitors on mine. It is a tight fit but it fits. The centers are angled in toward each other a couple inches but I prefer mine that way anyway. I imagine 24 inch screens would be no problem at all. The platform is much bigger than it seems in the photos.

I think it could work, but you may have to place them towards the front of the platform as it tapers towards the back. My two monitors are 19" and 17" across and sit towards the back with a little room to spare. The Varidesk Pro Plus is what I have and I love it. Just saw Erin's response...so there ya go! :)

Q: Can I move the keyboard tray separately from the monitor tray

No -- the monitor and keyboard trays are attached ... they move together as they are raised and lowered.
