Nehemiah: Rebuilt and Rebuilding (Living Word Bible Studies)

The media could not be loaded.  I read through this when doing a Bible study with my church. I really enjoyed using it. I love that you could write in it.

Good structure & flow to the questions & lessons. Helps you see the overarching storyline of the Bible. Excellent for first-timers as well as people who have studied extensively. Continually shows how the OT points to Christ. Keeps the focus on Scripture and not irrelevant tangents. Tone is friendly, helpful, and brings relevance to modern life.We searched long and hard & looked at lots of materials; this is the best of the best.

A good and solid bible study on the book of Nehemiah.

When I first heard that we would be doing a group study on the book of Nehemiah, I was honestly not that excited. I thought it would have little in the way of practical application. Was I ever surprised. It is a very relevant study. The author makes it come to life! I would recommend this study to anyone seeking to grow in their faith in spite of challenges and opposition.

If you're looking for a personal or group study, I highly recommend Kathleen B Nielson' s Bible studies. She helps make the past very much the present and applicable to our lives today. Her insight in the Word helps you see and understand things better. I have learned more about the Old Testament in these weeks than I have in years.

This is an excellent study which makes the student think and not just "fill in the blanks". I used it when my daughter was going through the disintegration of her family after her husband left. It applies to everyone in our sin-broken world who needs to know that God is the Redeemer and Healer of broken lives.

It is a very good study and I am excited to use it with my group of ladies!

Wonderful and intense study that drives you to the Scripture and paints a beautiful portrait of God's providence and sovereignty in all of life.

Came in good condition and was a great study!As far as the actual study goes (not the purchase of the item):Pros- Maps and organized notes in the back to give aids to the material- Thought-provoking questions mixed in- 5 days/session promote daily devotion to the study- Insightful points made on the book- Plenty of application and personal participation with the materialCons- Kind is hard to use to teach a group, since there is so much material for each session/chapter. Also because of the days- Could be more discussion/thought-provoking questions instead of a lot of questions that focus on the “right answer” from the text (there are some good ones in there, though)Overall it was really helpful for our group. It also depends on what kind of group you have. You kind of need to know how to work the material if you’re using this for a group. I think it’s really made for personal/individual study. You can’t do it, though, and I think our group responded well to it and benefited a lot spiritually from the curriculum!
